Wow.

If only I had the initial 59.99 I would so do it. I like the Flex Force cables, it much nicer than my hard to manage 420 Raidmax.

Rebates are not fun but I have got my rebate checks from TigerDirect.
 
eh, for that cheap you can't really go wrong and its worth a try.. but I had an X-connect 500w and an X-finity 500w, and they both went bad. I just went with an OCZ ps now and it works great.
 
I still wouldn't trust an Ultra product to power my computer. Good PSU for a light or medium build computer where you don't demand powerful performance.
 
The rebate goes through onrebate.com. IMO that's very reliable. I got my rebate sent to my paypal account ~4 weeks or so after I purchased an ultra PSU.
 
Got this from radioshack for $30 AR a couple of months ago and I love this PWs. Its great.

X Connect != X Finity :-/ I wish I had an X Connect, but I am happy with my Finity.

JUNK! WARNING! Do not purchase this. I got one and it burned out in 3 days. The only thing it was running (besides the normal stuff) was a 7800gt.

Then, radio shack jerked me around, told me they'd send me a return label to put on the package to return it, and it never came. I've called up twice so far and they just keep telling me to wait for it.

Don't hold your breath on the rebates either.
 
Hmmm mine has been flawless with my system config shown below (including the 7800GT that you mention) and I received my MIR's as well.

You can go bad, it blows up and takes your system with it........


Has ultra gotten any better? or are their PSU still time bombs.?
 
I have only had to replace 1 out of about 10 Power Supplies purchased from Ultra and that was because of a lightning strike. They still replaced the PS through the warranty without questions. They were also pretty quick in doing so. Rebates through Ultra are pretty quick and Onrebate.com is also pretty good. As far as Radioshcack goes, I have never had good luck with customer relations....so good luck there. I would recommend just shipping it to Ultra through the RMA process.
 
I have found OnRebate to be pretty fast too. I like the option to have the rebate sent as a PayPal payment too.
