This is odd. I have 2 Opteron 165 with the same stepping, same stock heatsink and fan. One is on an Ultra - d and the other is on a Tforce 6100 939

On the Ultra -d, when idling, the temps report much lower and I think more accurate because i have seen tons of smartgaudian screen grabs from other users and they are are all the same. The temps are 30 - 32 celc

On the Tforce, when idling, the temps are 37 - 39 celc

Are you also geting these idling temps on your Tforce? If not then maybe I have seated the heatsink the wrong way ... I have the heatpipes towards the middle of the board

Just wanted to note that these are the temperatures when the volts are arounf 1.4 and the cpu is running 312 x 9

its just the tforce. i have same boards as you. i get same type results. the tforce reads way high on cpu temp. it also undervolts vcore. when mine is set to 1.60v, i am really getting around 1.46. my x2 runs very cool. on the ultra-d it idles at 28c @ 1.41V 2800mhz.
same settings, same cpu , same hs/f on the tforce reads around 37c. if you go to the sff forum, where everybody (you know what i mean) uses this board you will see this is universal.

I'm H20 cooled and my temps seem pretty high as well. Idle is 42/ Load 55 with 1.48V. I've gone so far as to remove my IHS and redo the TIM. My 7800 GT temps are better, which I know isn't right. 9C lower would make more sense.

Yeah, I've had temp problems too. My A64 s754 single core Newcastle ran at 60C under load  .

I guess I am not the only one with high temperature readings

This board can not take heat at all ... with that said, I would like to go higher than 310 x 9 which I know I can but this board gets way to hot

It also does not help that the board does not read temperatures and volts correctly. Actually its readings are way off which makes it hard to oc

Do you think they can fix the mis - reading of the temperatures with a bios update ... if they can, we should all e - mail biostar and tell them how unhelpful these wrong readings are in the use of their product
