lol, well you could go outside, do something active. join a REAL league, like hockey/football/basketball w/e. OR you could just play CS(S). tell ya what, when you get as much experiance as TEAM 3D then you can quit. (btw KSharp makes 40grand a year... tax free)

I'm seriously astonished on how much I always see someone rapping on someone saying they need to go play sports outside. (You aren't really.. but along the lines I guess). I mean, I consider this to be one of the massive groupings of "computer nerds". YET I still see people saying "OMFG you have no life, go play sports nerd" It feels like highschool all over again!

Actually, the atmoshpere in F.E.A.R. while very good, is nothing compared to SS2. SS2 makes you feel completely isolated. After a while you start chasing the goal of finding a live human to talk to, instead of just catching the end of their lives in logs. Waking up to find you're one of only a couple people left alive in the middle of space is a pretty nice setting too. Not like the generic warehouse/office settings of F.E.A.R. (not that they don't suit the game, but still) F.E.A.R. has a decent ability to unnerve the player through imagery, startling moments, and of course the "creepy-little-girl" factor, but nothing like SS2. SS2 disturbs psychologically. You're getting beat over the head with a wrench by a hybrid, who knows what he's doing and appologizing to you for doing it. The soundtrack in SS2 is very subtle and ominous (when not in an action sequence) as well. Little nuances like hacking the security of the Von Braun to temporarily disable turrets, alerts to the many, etc. just bring you that much deeper into the game-world. F.E.A.R. has a few touches like voicemail on the office phones, but they aren't as integral to the atmosphere as the logs and emails in SS2.

I loved F.E.A.R. but there is a lot they could have done better, just to get somewhere near what SS2 has provided since 1999ish.

Please try Condemned. Wow what a game. this game crawls under your skin in a good way. You'll be walking around for a while and nothing happens...just...creepy. And they did a great job of making it feel like you're really in this game. Even using an axe to break down a door the camera does a "look up look down" chopping ..look. You don't have guns really so combat is pretty much face to face mano a mano....er..pipe, crowbar...paper cutter (my fav). When you have to collect evidence it's even a little unnerving because you have to drop your guard to gather it. And yes you can be attacked. It is a freaky game. Freaky...not scary.

I finished God of War summer of last year...simply put, the best game .... ever made. After you beat the game, a new mini game called 'Challenge of the Gods" is unlocked. Playing and finishing God of War is like the best sex you have EVER had and orgasming so hard that you'd almost be satisified with never having sex again..almost. Anyway, I put the game down for a while and started other games (Quake 4, F.E.A.R, Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven to name a few) and beat those games.

So recently I picked up God of War again started "Challenge of the Gods". Its challenging but I manage to eek out nice victories in challenges 1-9 (there are 10 overall) in about an hour. Until challenge 10... Oh..My...F*cking..God. I swear to God I have never been so frustrated in my LIFE with any other game..I have never thrown a controller or punched a wall over a game until now. Challenge 10 is the most cheatingest, cheap shot, bullsh*t, you-got-be-lucky-to-beat, f*ck-who-designed-challenge-10-and-the-sperm-that-made-them, controller-throwing, wall-punching, gray-hair-making, I-can't-BELIEVE-this-BULLSH*T , you-have GOT-TO-BE kidding-me level in existence.

*deep breath* So.. that is the game I am currently playing... :)

The most addicting game I've played in the last ten years currently.

Playing Il-2 FB-AE-PF merged. What started off as a simple purchase of a logitech force joystick for MS Flight Sim 2004 and $20 purchase of Il-2 FB off direct2drive (never buy from them, you will regret it!) has turned into the purchase and return of the logitech joystick, a saitek joystick, purchasing Il-2FB stand alone + Ace Expansion and Pacific fighters as well as a CH Joystick and pedals. It's really one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. It reminds me of when I first got into FPS games (playing Duke 3D and the original quake online) because it is highly complex, has a steep learning curve and is just highly immersive all around. Games like IL-2 are what PC gaming should be all about IMO. Too bad there aren't more games out there (remember mech sims, stunt games, jousting games, games like interstate 79 etc)

I haven't touched oblivion since I bought this game (Can't play it anyways really because I can't patch it because direct2drive and Bethesda are retarded!)

Oblivion.

I haven't really played BF2 since Feb and went back to Sim City 4 for a while till Oblivion entered my life. Best game I've played in so long. I baught God of War about a week before Oblivion and played it till I broke my last good controller and decided to buy Oblivion. I was hooked on it like crack for that week though.

Just finished:

Metroid Prime: Hunters - haven't tried multiplayer yet... single player was sort of disappointing
The Longest Journey - 2nd playthrough as a refresher in anticipation of Dreamfall... still love TLJ

Current: New Super Mario Bros. - zipped through world 1... I hope it gets a lot harder than that

Next: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures - finally dropped in price and I got it for $15

No addictions for me. Monitor went out on 4/19 and due to a lack of spare monitor and a lack of luck in just about everything for the past month, I've been gameless  Before the anarchy though, it was UT2k4 and Trackmania

Quake 4 demo. I'm partial to dm fps' though, as Quake 3 was my last favorite. :)

There aren't any games I'm into right now. Strange now that I think about it. I'm still into Toca 3 a little bit and I've always been heavy into my F1 sims but I'm really not losing sleep over anything right now.

UT2004 (multiplayer). Love the fast paced action. My area has many populated servers.

World of Warcraft, if only to do something with friends online. Until I find a new FPS thats good, its for now WoW. On occasion though, I do hop into CS-S for a bit.

I am however waiting on money to overhaul and a couple of new games i've had my eye on.

The only thing I play anymore is Painkiller Multiplayer with my brother. I had started a thread not too long ago about getting some fellow HardOCPer's to join in on a game but apparently nobody here plays it. :(

Americas Army!
Battlefield 1942: desert combat and FH!
Starcraft!
and a little DOD:S and Oblivion

ff7 ultima edition (pc) playing as sephiroth at disk 1 makes it more addictive:D
oblivion
guildwars factions

i play counter strike 1.6....was wondering if anybody here plays on a big popular server.....maybe we can all join in...

Oblivion and BF2.

I already finished Oblivion but I'm trying to get some better gear for whatever reason - not sure why though
:)

I've been playing HL2. When I first played it i thought it was wack becaues the first few chapters didn't make sense and they were boring, but as I got further in the game thats when I realized how great it is. So now I've started to playing it again.

I'm playing HL2, Fear Multiplayer, Q4. UT2k4 (Big Unreal Fan), Unreal 99, COD2 and Sin Episode 1. I can't play one game at a time because i get bored quickly and I need a different style of gameplay.

Currently waiting for HL2 Episode 1, Rise and Fall RTS game, and WarPath. Hopefully those will hold me untill ATI's R600, UT2007, QuakeWars and the New Command and Conqueor (My 3 Favorite series of games) .

Still playing UT2004. I jump in a quick deathmatch against the computer and go to bed.

But the REAL gaming addiction...

FREECELL!!

Damn you Larry for ever showing me that horridly addicting little game. Damn you!!

Call of Duty 2, BF2, Counter Strike Source, Track Mania Nations and Live for Speed S2 , yes I know I have alot of free time :D.

Just beat Age of Mythology in one day. Fun campaign, kinda, and decent storyline.

Next up: Planescape: Torment

Everquest 2 for PC, and PGR3 on Xbox Live <--------- Cat and mouse = best game ever.

The only game that I play is Oblivion. I WILL see it all (even if it takes me years at my current rate of exploration).

I second that...I doubt that game makes Fear look lame atmosphere wise. Obviously you never played it...
:p If it's anything it's the other way.

I played fear. I wish they would have done more creepy supernatural stuff and a little less bullet-time-versus-the-same-guys-over-and-over. Great game, though.

im addicted to the first guild wars

weird uh?

me too! Well I wouldn't call it addicted, but it's really the only game i'm currently playing. I bought it right when it came out, never really played it, but started playing it like 2 weeks ago and I'm having a good time.. now i just gotta get my friends going..

Its hard to say concidering that I go in revolutions. In the mood to play a few games and then that changes to others. Presently it is Sims 2, Guild Wars, and Oblivion. Before that was Tron 2.0, Dungeon Siege 2 and neverwinter nights
