So today is the day that all the macbook users are going to call apple and collectively demand a fix to the problem of the laptops whining. Apparently apple has decided to downplay this problem and thats why such action is necessarry.

Is anyone here going to call/called allready? Post any news in here if you find any too!

It should be interesting to see what happens!
 
It was the initial intel laptops...what happened is that they were applying way too much thermal paste, so the CPU would overheat, the fans would ramp up to compensate and hense the whining noise. Apple has told these people that basically its not their problem, and its normal operation; and have not helped these people anymore.


Out of the service manual. This is the service manual from the new macbooks that were just released...and apparently they whine too. wonder why?

And I totally would have whined today had I not been waiting for a Merom book to upgrade.
 
Lol, in the first of those "TIM application pics" the 2nd chip (not the one getting oozed) looks scratched.
