Don't come here much, but thought you guys would like this

I dont' know if I want to install the tool, who knows what it will send back to M$ lol.
 
Microsoft takes the cake.
Again.

The Windows Vista advisor program will not install on my PC which runs x64 XP Pro.
Neither will the new WMP 11 Beta.

"The future of computing" is apparently not 64 bit at all.
 
I installed it. Too bad it doesn't say whether or not Aero Glass is compatible.

The only warning I got was amount of drive space. Most drivers for my hardware are included in the OS and one item suggests I contact the manufacturer (915G video chipset). Strange since all the Dec and later betas/Windows Update had drivers for everything.
 
WinXP 64 pro doesn't install anything from MS that isn't a crit update...because you need the Genuine Windows Widget to confirm you have a legit copy, and that widget doesn't work on Win64 XP.

We are the redheaded stepchildren.
