did you pay for the shipping for returning Dell monitors?

The lady I talked to from dell said that i would have to pay for the one way shipping+insurance and maybe 15% restocking fee, even though the product is defective. wtf?? i explained to her about what banding issue was but she kept saying "i don't know what that is".
I bought the 2007wfp two weeks ago and it's getting worse. still suffers from backlight bleed, blurry texts and banding. what should i do or who should i talk to? i am from canada. help please!!
 
lol call again and try and get another csr.

dell isn't admitting to the banding problems..or fuzzy text. :p
 
i feel stupid for paying $551 for 2007wfp two weeks ago because this junk is on sale for $427 CND "TODAY ONLY". the next thing to gas price that fluctuates weekly is Dell products. what to do now?
 
call again, be like, i see dead pixels. :p replace bitch! plus...doesn't dell have like a 3 week no hassle return or something?

Edit: Nevermind dell switched back to black plastic in the images.
 
I had to RMA one of my 3007's a little over a month ago. The first I got was crap so I did another RMA. Both of the RMA's were sent out first before I sent my 3007 back and they paid for all the shipping. I do have the Advanced replacement plan on them though.
 
I don't know how some people could keep exchanging 2005wfp if they had to pay shipping. I told the lady that some people didn't even pay a cent for exchanging and that bxxch said "do you have internet? go to read line 8". wtf.. the other day Dell put a great effort to send me two emails, asking me to rate their customer care. go to hell Dell

My understanding of the Dell policy on this is that if a separate shipping rate shows up on your invoice then you will not be reimbursed that amount. If it was free shipping then you don't lose anything on the return.

My monitor was free shipping and showed no shipping rate, but I sold it rather than waste my time dealing with Dell.
 
i was on the phone with Dell tech support for almost an hour, trying to "solve" the blurry texts problem. did the basic time wasting walk through, disconnect the monitor from computer..blah blah blah. then the tech guy asked me "do you see no signal warning on the monitor?" yes i said. then he said "the monitor is working properly and it must be your computer that causes the problem." wtf.. LOL the screen was blank with no dvi-d warning floating around, how the heck could that verify my problem with blurryness. the guy didn't even know that the sharpness is not adjustable if connected via DVI. So i was on the phone with him for an hour and finally he gave up and verified the defects and issued me a case number. the customer rep was orignally gonna charge me for shipping but did not. would i ever buy dell again? yeah...but only if someone put a gun in my face.

Well, ive always seen/heard dell does advance replacment and reimburses you for shipping and not a restocking fee if its f'ed up. Call again it sounds liek the lady whom you spoke with was in her time of the month
