O I would so love that! I mean, for those kids (kinda like me, though I'm more mid-teens) the tax really puts a huge strain on our wallets because it grossly inflates the price. But ya, pretty unlikely... :(

Most of us don't like to pay taxes. But guess what young grasshopper? Get used to paying taxes hehe, 'cause when you get old enough, you'll have no choice. But it's still nice to be able to cheat, er, beat the taxman out of some taxes sometimes... Most of my high $$$ electronic buys are from out-of-state. :D
 
Yep, 2 more years and I'll have to do my own taxes :( (Well, actually maybe 3 as tax time has already passed, I'm 15, and my b-day is in May).

Why not buy from Monarch? That is where I have been going for a few months now. They have grown so much and their prices are as good or better than the egg. HOWEVER no tax (other than GA folks) makes them a winner for me 8 out of 10 times.
 
Newegg's site is very flakey for me tonight. Wanted to check this deal out but it seems to not be loading for me.

O, I know about them. But Newegg has a much larger selection and without tax, better prices. Anyways, I've only actually ordered 1 thing off an e-tailer :p

Not really. You can only get a good deal with MD if they have a rebate available. Newegg uses them as well but not as frequent as MD does. What separates the two is New egg has a web layout that MD will never be able to match. I mean never. It looks like I made their web site. Thats pretty bad. Newegg on the other hand has lately sold several items on sale but have had the same price as before the sale. Thats a really fake business tactic to me. Especially when the same item is the same price as every other Etailer. Another thing I like about Newegg is they have so much to choose from.


One other thing several people have responded to is MD listening to a couple of the people in this forum. It gives the customer the feeling they really want their business. Thats good buisness.

Both have good and bad about them. MD just hasn't given me a reason to buy from them.
I haven't bought anything from ZipZoomFly but they have been sale(ing) items that I want to buy without a rebate for a great price. I plan on giving them a try this next week.

I'm sure one thing we can all agree on is we need all the great competition we can get.

i gotta pay %14 for taxes... "welcome to canada.... we may bankrupt you with our taxes BUT we give free health care to the pucking junkies who get stoned everyday dont pay taxes and get a free bed.... oh yea and you get a little free crap too".

plus the shipping up here is thru the roof, there just isnt enough enthusiast market, so for enthusiast parts (and im not talking about anything that extreem but stuff like 7800's 7900's nice monitors nice mobos) are dammmmnnnnned expensive......

i can get 1 type of 7900 up here and iv contacted 12 suppliers, BFG, damn i love you guys, should make a half decent MOBO line... id' b cool.....

If you think you have it bad, think of the poor UK people... 17.5% tax... and atrociously high prices compared to us. Then again, apparantly they get paid better than us here in the stats :p
 
Being paid more doesn't neccessarily mean they can spend more.

It's all about standard of living, I believe Japan also has higher wages but they pay more for everything especially food since most of it is imported.
 
Code is still working and now they have an MSI x1800xt with a $30 MIR as well making the total price after the MIR $242 shipped.

Shame this is dead early, but it was great while it lasted. An X1800XT for $242 AR is unheard of. Can't even get them used that cheap.

The did make some nice change off of me. But then again I got a decent deal.
