I cant bare to part with the weapons I find in the game -
Am I the only one who collects them?

These are pictures from my house in Leyawiin.

If you have a collection please post some pictures.

Wow, that is beautiful! How long did you spend trying to organize everything? I just throw my stuff around the room and let it lay where it falls. Those guys did such a great job designing the weapons and armor, especially the glass ones. Right now, I sell all my stuff since i'm in need of money.

looks nice and all. I gotta buy a house so i can store my stuff.

Btw, can all the race wear the same armor? Or are they specific to each race?

I dont think your race matters when it comes to armor - I have taken armor from the bodies of many different races of ppl and it all fits perfectly :)

That's beautiful. I used to collect crap like that in MW. Is there a way to rotate junk you set down. i remember needing a mod in MW to set books the right way etc.

In Oblivion you just hover the mouse over an item and press z - You can also do this on corpses - ( It's handy when a dead person is lying on something you want ) - or if you just want to drag ppl around :)

Its tricky to get books to stack neatly - or to put potions on shelves etc.

p.s - I should update - I just finished some major missions and have many more weapons - Ill need to buy a larger house now to store them all - I have 30,000 gold - and I would guess the value of the items in the house would be close to another 20,000 - No need to cheat in this game - It's so much better to earn everything.

then an NPC comes into your house, bumps your table, and sends -everything- flying off.

You must have a lot of patience. I spent five minutes trying to put a katana on my mantle (I managed to walk out of the first dungeon with one of the guard's katanas. I was practicing my light/heavy/block skills on the guards, their swords broke, they discarded them) and gave up.

I had the house in Anvil and simply put all my weapons in the drawers opposite the door, and my wearable items in the cupboard opposite that. I don't care much for setting things out where I can see them.

However, I bought the house in Skingrad and all its accoutrements, and I decided to move all of my gear over there. (Kind of silly at this point since I'd worked up a good relationship with the arms dealer in Anvil, but I digress.) Now the two cupboards in the dining area have all of my gear, again separated into the two categories. The drawers in the room to the right of the door have my magicka-related items (spell scrolls, ingredients, potions/poisons, etc.). And I decided to put the head of a certain traitor's mother in a display case in that same room, just for ghoulish fun. ;)

I suspect I've got 50,000 worth of items in the cabinets, probably closer to 75,000. Too bad I can't find a merchant with enough gold so I can finally sell off some of my daedric warhammers at a reasonable price.

It's gotten to the point where when I'm raiding a dungeon I don't pick up anything that's worth less than 1500, usually not less than 2000.

Has anyone figured out how to put stuff in the display cases for the house you can buy in skingrad

The use key will open the cases......

I also am a huge Oblivion packrat... I guess this is why I am the champion of Cyradiil and can't afford anything more than the single-wide trailer in the Imperial City.

I have so much crap hanging around that place that I can't even walk around without knocking things all over.

You guys need to grab one of the mods that adds a display room to the basement of your houses :p

If you have one of the bigger houses you can buy display cases that are dotted around the house anyway.

I actually figured that out thanks :p

I want to put something in them though, the only way I've managed is to use the alteration spell to pick stuff up and put it in but that's a bit of a hassle.

The "Z" key, as mentioned above, will let you do this. Once you've dropped it from your inventory, say to the floor, you can aim and hit "Z"--you'll then be carrying it, essentially, and can proceed to place it into the case.

I love how you can just drop items around the world and they never dissapear (usually). I remember I dropped like 10 items on the steps of cloud temple, then when i was 6-7 more hours into the game (real time) they were still there. So great!

Got the complete set of master alchemy equipment - havent even made any potions yet.

if I come across an enchanted weapon it goes here.

So much more gear in the drawers/barrels - Too much to post.

I am now at level 20 - have 80k gold - Master of Fighters Guild - Arch Mage of Mages Guild.

Running out of missions to do - Will have to start raiding caves/forts.

Anyone else got the Escutcheon of Chorrol shield - Man it's great :)

What house is that?

Im looking for a big size house where i can put a lot of stuff in and do the same thing...

Wheres the best house at?

How has your framerate been affected by having all that stuff laying around?

Personally I just throw everything into a barrel/chest since they have infinate storage now. I will get some mannaquins later and display the unique armor and weapons.

Here are my mannequins showing off some of my cool armour. Still need to arrange the rest + the extra 50 weapons I have lying around. Also included some screens of my character.

I'm about level 26 with 50ish hours of play.

The Daedric Grieves/Helm/ect of Strength are enchanted with +10 Strength on each piece. The boots of atronach have 50% resistance to fire/shock/freezing. Battlehunter gauntlets have 65ft Life Detect on them.

Interesting stats.

WOW you have a lot of stuff, it's so neatly laid out!
I have way, way too many things in some of my houses to bother laying them out. I have so many items I just throw them into a pile.
The Grey Fox's Room in the Thief Guild building is to the point that I can't open the door without causing things to go flying!
I have $300,000 worth of items in there EASY, just laying on the floor.

I did exactly the same thing as the OP, to the point where my character had an almost identical loadout to that shown on the character view - except I would only have more than one of something if it had a different enchantment, and sold the rest...

The Haunted Mansion in Anvil is probably your best. Its big, its cheap (5000g), and best of all its haunted so that means a nice little side mission. Its actually a pretty nice looking place when you get it all cleaned up.

You can skip the step of dropping the item, because if you drag an item out of your inventory window 'into the world' and wait a second, your inventory will disappear and you'll be hold/manipulating the item in the world. Do this while standing within reach of a display case, table, or shelf, and you can take the item straight to wherever you want to set it.

Wow at the graphics   how did you get those awesome pictures with just a 6600

Its not hard to max out your settings for a few pictures of thigns like this.

Anyway, that's pretty amazing. Makes me want to load up Oblivion, but I'm putting that off till I purchase a new video card. I can not imagine how much time that took you, very impressive!

right now, I have all the cases and barrels in the Wizards Tower full of stuff. Going to have to make a selling binge and see how much I can get for it all.

my 2nd character I did that with, took like 12 trips and had over 2mill in gold was great.. had no inclination to keep the stuff though..

where did you get the manicans? (sp)

I have several homes full of reznods mannequins displaying all my crap. My Ayleid Sanctum home (still my fav mod for instant teleportation to a house where you can drop your crap off, works in Oblivion Planes as well) has manequins on each side of all the doors displaying each class of weapons and armor. Looks like an old castle. Another custom home has the same only with the unique armor and weapons displayed at each door and I made a ton of "servants" using the Russel Felt red clothes with gold shoes. I now collect everything I find just to find creative ways to dump it. I have a large dungeon type room with a huge pile of skulls and other bones and if you drop torches they will be lit after you leave adn then come back. I think there is a limit on how many can burn at once though. I tried piling books up and then making them look like they were on fire but it didn't work that well. I have a huge pile of callipers, hooks and such that remeinds me of a display at the Holocaust museum in D.C.
I did most of this stuff when I was waiting for a certain time limit requirement between/during quests rather than waiting.

Is there a way to position the objects when playing the game on the 360

Best house in the game, in my opinion, is RoseThorn Manor...can't remember the town.

If you buy everything it has more storage space than any other. You can also hire a servant!

i doubt you can arrange or screenshot in either the 360 or PS3 versions... honestly why you would ever buy a game like this for any platform other than PC is beyond me. What makes the TES games so good is the mods.

I think I might have to reinstall Oblivion so I can screenie my collection for you guys :)
