I wanna do somethign to my side panel of my Lian Li Pc 61-B. Instead of using plexi glass/lexan for the window I was thinking of using some "mooder's mesh" to be a little different even tough it has been done already i am sure. I am hoping that this might lower my temperatures a bit on the video card and the cpu ( NOTE my temperatures are good ). My other option would be adding 2 x 120mm over the cpu and processor and using one of those ducts so my processor can take in some fresh air. I really dont need to do this because my temperatures are nice as is but I have been wanting to do this for quiet some time but wasn't sure how the mesh will impact my airflow

So what do u guys think ?

You think anyone in the case modding forum would ever tell you not to mod? :D I dont tink so! Mesh it up and take pics.

gotta draw a couple of designs. Then visit mnpctech and get some mooders mesh with round holes and some c-strip molding. To be continued

be careful about the amount of mesh you use, as dust will suck in, and the fluid dynamics will change signiffigantly

Mesh works and looks great instead of plexi IMHO................ :D Most of the top of my UFO is out of mesh...............

If you're too cheap to buy "real" mesh, just pick up some aluminum screen at your hardware store. It's like $7 for a big ol' roll of it (36" x 84" or something like that)

i always liked meshed panels better than a acrylic window anyways. Go for it!

yeah, the black aluminum screen is like a dollar per 12" x 48" piece, at least at a local hardware store here that is the cost, screen door stuff.

this is the stuff iv been looking for, for soo long. Im trying to do the inside of my Lian Li PV-2000 case and want to match the circle drilled theme on the outside, where could i get mesh like that? I need like a 2ft X 1ft piece and a 2ft X 2ft piece.
~~Thanks

I wish there was a better supplier for this stuff, given that its made of cheap steel and is a simple pressed design. The high price for such a small section of material is astonishing. I bought a trash can made of this type of mesh from Target for 4.99 that had more material as this stuff is so expensive. I imagine MNPCTECH is making a killing as I'm sure these same sections cost them very little.

^^ agreed.
Sometimes I look on ebay for some mesh, but it usually doens't come in a wide enough roll.
Plus... when they send it to you, it is usually rolled up which makes it a PAIN to get flat again.
I also check target every time I am there to see if I can find a cheap mesh trash can.

Good luck.. I think mesh looks better for a window than plastic anyday.

D.

anyone know where i can get mesh that looks really similar too the stuff on the Lian-Li cases??
