ergotron workstand on base with casters, viewsonic vp171b atop and and lian li tower in back.

Great setup, I've always wanted to do this although is that workstand sturdy enough to hold a 24" LCD? How much did the whole setup cost you?

There was a problem with the 7800GTX Go not running the 3007FP at full resolution. How did you fix it?

I'm back...

That’s not a blue mousepad; it’s the reflection from the second 2405.

Im contemplating changing my 2 2405's for this exact setup. Do the 2007's and 3007 align perfectly? From those pictures it doesnt look like it...

They do line up. My issue is i am using an Ergotron DS100 single stand for the 3 displays. i have limited ability to adjust the heights of the flanking monitors. With the standard separate stands of the 3 separate monitors, they should line up perfectly.

ATI Surroundview drives the triple display. x300 onboard graphics and x1300 dual display card. Perforamnce is good although i am not a gamer so my demands are not high. I am having somes 30 inch display issues though if you look at the other posted topic (Sparklies)

Exciting to me! a quad display isn't something you run across everyday. Looks awesome!

A little late to the party but here's my setup.

92" main screen projected by a Sony HS51 at 720p resolution
and a Dell 2001FP

I have another 2x Dell 2001FP in my office but I am awaiting the 2407 to come out.

Gateway FPD2185W as the primary screen and a brand new Dell 2005FPW as the secondary. Excuse the bad pic, I only have time to take one quick pic before the battery went out.

That's a 2007wfp, not a 2005fpw.

Which do u prefer??

The comparison isn't really fair. The Dell is on VGA and the Gateway is on DVI and I haven't taken teh time to calibrate the Dell but I will tell you what I have seen so far.

The gateway is larger and brighter, has more inputs and can swivel. The image also seems more "smooth" and less pixelated/"screen doored". I can also see more details in the lighter areas.
The Dell's color reproduction seems more accurate (although that may be my fault as I might not have set up the monitors right). Whites seem more accurate, etc, etc. Details in the black areas are better straight on, I don't have to bump up the gamma, or lean to the side to see whats really going on in the shadows. Movie and DVD playback wiht the Gateway isn't that great without messing with the player's video adjustments, I suspect the Dell is better at playing movies.

At this point, I can't say that I prefer one over the other completely. I still need to properly calibrate the two monitors and use a dual DVI card. But, those are my first impressions as of now.

Also, my X1600 seems to have problems driving the Dell via VGA. It flickers sometimes, usually stopping as time goes on or if I have just the Dell plugged in.

Also, text quality is much, much better on teh Gateway, but that may just be due to the dell running on VGA.

And the dell looks better :)

does the 2007 not swivel at all? my 2005 is a swiveling beast.

I believe that was lost with the base change. I like the looks of the new base but I do prefer the functionality of the base's on my 2405's and 2005's.

glad you think so :)

with all these giant monitors floating around I was having some... lcd envy lol :p

I just bought those 19" panels too, they are really nice, super bright and no ghosting or anything...

the fork in the pic is what does it for me.

Done a bit of shuffling around on my ever evolving rig, got a bit of decorators mate for patching up to do between the 2 monitors. Got a new Tower with crossfire coming soon aswell. Its been a bastard cutting into walls to hide the wires. All sound from the PC and 360 come through the Altec Lansing Speakers.
