7900 Series Pricing and Availability

Purgatory, thanks man. Scored a 7900GTX this afternoon from mWave and its already in the box enroute to me.
Ive been looking for a BFG card for a week and no luck. This afternoon, no problem. Thanks for the links.

Well, looks like prices will start to free fall now that the initial demand surge is over. There is plenty of supply, so now you can look for the deals. So, I guess there is no real need for the thread any longer. Here are a couple of the deals:

Comp USA has the BFG 7900 GTX for $499.

Monarch Computer has the XFX 7900 GTX Extreme (675/1700) for $489.69

7900GTX's seem to be in stock at least. Now it is 7900GTs that still seem to be short. Hopefully it will rectify itself soon.

Maybe in Europe. But, I have watched the supply, and you could get a 7900 GT anytime you wanted for the last week at NewEgg and there is now plenty of supply for the GTX cards. For example, the EVGA 7900 GTX has stayed in stock for the past 6 days solid. The complaints will be for the factory OC'd cards which sell first. The Inq article is in response to old news. Either way, the first 30 days of a product launch will be like this (tight supply) since the situation (X1900) sis not afford NVIDIA the time to cache up supply before release, like the 7800.

Fry's B&M now has a shelf tags for the BFG 7900GT OC and 7900GTX OC. Like all video cards there, it's MSRP which BFG seems to have set to $369 for the 7900GT and some other ridiculous amount for the 7900GTX. The cards should be on the shelf soon.

LOL, still no BFG 7900 cards on the shelves at Fry's yet but I saw the eVGA 7900GT KO (500/1500) for $299 and the PNY 7900GT for $349 today. Stupid PNY and MSRP.
