Hi, i just built a new computer. I have a P180 case, P5n32-SLI Deluxe mobo, 2 Maxtor SATA 80gb hdd using the onboard nVidia Raid 0 controller, a BFG 7900GT, 1GB nSpire DDR2, 500W Antec PSU and 2 drives from my old comp: a 6x Creative Labs DVD drive and a NEC DVD-RW.

The first problem i had was i couldnt get windows xp to install when i was using the raid but it would install fine not using raid. It would freeze when it said setup is starting up windows. I finally switched to the Creative DVD drive and it worked.

Now im having problems again with my drives. I tryed to install WoW and the drive either stops reading the cd or i get an install error. I tryed both my DVD and DVD-RW and the same thing happens. I also tryed to install Oblivion and i get an install error. I just put in a new Sony DVD-RW and it still wont work. I also switched the cd-rom cable that the mobo came with to the HDD one that has more wires. Nothing will work for me.

Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

what is the shortest time i can run this test to get pretty accurate results?

ok, i ran the test for an hour and 45 min and was able to go through the set of tests 6 times. This is what i got:
Test 0- 0 errors
Test 1- 0 errors
Test 2- 9 errors
Test 3- 40 errors
Test 4- 112 errors
Test 5- 4 errors
Test 6- 7 errors
Test 7- 1 error
Test 8- 0 errors
Test 9- 0 errors

So it looks like i need new memory lol. Just because i got all these errors doesnt necesarily mean that the memory is bad, just that it doesn't work correctly with my mobo, is that correct?

What memory do you suggest i get? THanks for all the help guys.

Go with Corsair or any other more reputable brands like G.Skill, OCZ, Patriot.. etc.
