Lurk, Read, Post...

Lately its been more lurk lurk lurk, post... lurk, lurk for me. Work has been kicking my ass, and I've been getting at home in the evening ready to just go straight to bed, do not pass the forums, go directly to bed. Maybe eventually things will quite down enough that I can devote the time that this place deserves. :D

 
Physics homework and tests in all my classes in the last few weeks has kept me busy. And my folding speed has decreased because my WinDVD Creator program doesn't like the processor at 100%(Plus it's flaky with my 600+ picture DVD slide show I'm making). Not to mention that 1 of my hard drives died, and another one is about to. Last week it made the loud clicking noise like when you unplug the computer when it's on, but the hard drive kept make the noise again and again until I turned it of. Of couse there are 3 hard drives in there and it is no longer making any noise! :( Which is a good thing, but I don't know what caused the messed up ness for a day and which one the sound came from. So I've been burning DVDs of pictures and what not. 100+ gigs of images. I'm all worried that my comp is going to up and die on me. That's enough...

 
Work finally (and suddenly) got busy for me, so I'm not as active in the forum as I used to be. To be honest, though, it's a good thing. I hate having nothing to do at work.

 
I'm in lurk mode. I almost didn't reply to this thread. If I hadn't I would be super lurk mode which I'm not. So I did.
 
If there's an unanswered question that I've got the answer to, I'll post something, but I otherwise just pop my head in every day or two to see what's going on.

I lurked, now I've joined the forums and team 33 though.

On that note, my laptop has two finished work units waiting to go to the server.
Will team 0 or team 33 get the points given that they were downloaded when I folded for team 0??
 
It will be whatever team number and name is entered into the setup, when the units are uploaded.

You can change it as many times as you like before they are uploaded. but 33 is the best number to have in the end ;)

Well there are other numbers out there, truth be told.

I'd been hovering over changing for a while, didn't want to seem like I was just joining the winning team.
But then I realised I'd liked the tone of this forum before I even found out you were first.

I'm not contributing much (~2.6GHz) but every little helps right?
 
Thats faster then 90% of the stuff in my farm ;)

And its all about the team and the cure...

"Number 1" is just for fun while we kick some serious protein ass :D

You didn't hear AMD's latest product announcement?? The Quad-Quad-Quad Core chip :D
64 cores of goodness ;)
Not to mention the refridgerator-sized heatsink required to cool the 2.4 kW of heat made by the 15 sq ft. of chip :D

i thought it was going to be 2.4 giga watts of heat :p
 
I usually do not start a thread, but post in others. Most have been pretty boring lately, and I've been looking more in the cars and gen may subforums.

I probably can say - but I should check with the legal department before I do. It's been interesting, to say the least... Keep your fingers crossed for me getting picked up after the closing date! :)
 
I usually just post when I can help someone with a problem, but I lurk most of the time.
