ok im planning on some upgrades soon. i really dont want to move to pci-e.. because my cpu bottle necks my video card already enough! lol 1-10 scale what is my system?

Your System looks great actually. All you have to do is overclock ur 3000+ Processor and ur bottleneck is gone. After reading the latest testing on UH news, ur cpu should be 2.4Ghz to prevent a Highend video card from bottlenecking.

I suggest u loosen ur memory timings to 2-3-3-7, or 2.5-3-3-7 and overclock it.
You need ur FSB to be 267 to get ur cpu to run at 2.4ghz.

Try lowering HT to 3x or 4x, ram voltage should be around 2.7v or 2.8v.

Be prepared to run alot of benchmarks to ensure your cpu is stable, Prime95 and SuperPi is wat i suggest. You might need to change the ratio between ur mem and cpu to get it running at 267mhz. There is more info in the forums on how to Overclock, but i hope this helps. :)

what he said, if you understand it/have read the guides

Your in a bad rut with that system. No one upgrade is going to solve your problem. Your video could use a few more CPU clocks, but it wont take much to outpace your current GPU.

You need to save your money until you can purchase your new video, mainboard, cpu at once.

A cpu is the ONLY upgrade you can make that wont be a waste down the road. It would be insane to upgrade to another AGP card, and your mainboard is about as good as AGP boards get.

8.459102912301
- points for only 1Gb (instead of 2Gb)
- a few points for only a 3000+ cpu, that doesnt seem to be overclocked, overclock it and all is well with it.
+ videocard is good

my main rig being a 9.80000001
my shuttle being a 6.969696969696969696969
and work PC being a 4.8123091230123901290

Your system can only be "rated" by yourself. If it does everything that you want to do, its a 10. If you feel as though your gaming experience is lacking somewhere (missing features, image quality, etc.) then the rating would be lower. If you had a P3 and a Geforce 2 and it did everything you wanted to do on a PC, that would be a 10 in my book also.

i give my system about an 8, and my sff about a 6. that puts yours at around a 2. sorry matey, but agp is long gone and you need to upgrade.

Depending on who you ask. Hard core gamers that upgrade with the best components to play the games at their max, they would belong to circle of people that would grade yours below average. For average gamer that upgrades once a year or every other year, slightly above average (7-8). Finally, for occasional gamer that still uses 6800s etc...then high.
Since I try to be in the first group (although my graphic cards are not what they once were considered to be), I will keep my opinions to myself since I consider my rig about average for people in the first group.

You should overclock your cpu. Also, running ram faster at looser settings will make your system faster than running with tighter settings. The power supply you have is not a great model and you might want to try putting drives into mirrors so that you don't lose everything if your drive craps out. You also didn't show your case, but I'd say your system is a little loud for my liking. Still, it's plenty fast and I'm sure you an do everything you want with it and that is what is important.

I give it a 6. Overclocking it will bring it up to a 7. I consider systems with dual-core cpu's and 7800GT+ cards to be 8-10 caliber. Your system is faster than mine, I give mine a 4.

Hahahahahaha.

I'm about in the same boat with my system - thanks for the info on the OC'ing of the processor. Good stuff.

hey thanks guys, i cannot OC my cpu past 1881mhz it quits on me.. ive overclocked quit a few cpu's and this one is by far the worst
