I was surfing the net, when the garage door opened, my father came home early, not because he wanted to. Because he was one of quite of a few people today that lost their jobs today.

So how does this affect me, it affects me and my mom a great deal. We have to spend less and save more money as ever. My server farm is being shut down to 1 pc, one of the most progressed pc mods will continue, but the spending on parts for my computer will stop.

I can or can't tell you what is going to happen or what is going to happen. My dad isn't sure of where he will get a job, it maybe here in cincinnati area or somewhere else. I would have liked to fold with you guys for some time longer, and maybe get my wish of getting out of the place of 1,044 to something like 700 rank or so, but I do believe that is a dream.

When me and my family get back on our feets, I will try to make a big comeback, but until then, I will miss folding alot.

I'll still be here lurking around, if anyone is interested, I play GuildWars quite a bit, so if you play, put these guildwars characters in your buddy list: Hyde Pierce, Lilly Stryfe, Vashti Shango and Miss Morrisette.

Well see you guys later till then.

sorry to hear about your dad loosing his job

you don't have to leave b/c you can't fold... we will just rag on you a little more

Sorry to hear about that. I hope your dad can find a job elsewhere. Like Duster said, you're stuck here for life :p

I'm also on GW as Mo/E16 "Tall Skinny Dork". Halp, i r teh n00bz.

yea...that sucks...i hope everything works out for you and your family...and just having one machine folding part-time is still something :) so you...your STUCK :)

Sorry to hear that happened but, I hate to say it but, it is life. Now you will get the folding jones and, your Mom will say; why dont you fold the laundry? Bad joke I know. Hope your dad finds another good job soon.

Yea man, GL with all that. I'm also on guild wars about an hour a month :p (I work like 11 hours a day), but I don't remember my SN :)

Sorry to hear it, here's to this just being a little hiccup and getting back on your feet ASAP.

1. I'm terribly sorry to hear about your predicament, not from a folding POV, but just from hating to see anyone good have to hit a heaping pile of crap.

2. I'm sorry you can't keep folding in the interim, however, I more than understand.

3. Assuming you guys don't cut out the internet in an effort to cut expenses, stay around the forums, more people almost always = better.

Good luck, and God bless man.

Keep on Folding!! For the [H]orde!!

Thanks guys for the kind words, he has been attending a place that helps people find jobs, kinda like a head hunter. Most of the time, I have been teaching my dad to be more productive with the computer and with being online.

He has sent email's out every day, he might have to go back into the powerplant industry to find a job if that is what it takes. I'm not sure what is going on, not sure if the emails are being deleted when HR gets them, or if they actually take time and read them.

Well on a side note, when I arrived to work yesterday, news of one of the people working in the Bakery the day before pass out in the breakroom and never came to. I believe she passed away from a stroke or a heart attack, from the way it was being described. I didn't know Pat not too long since I worked for Krogers for 7 months, but she was very nice and helpful.

If you happen to notice for me that finding a job in the IT field with 9 certifications is abit hard when you have no experience, so after contract job after contract job, I said enough. I went back to work where I knew what I was doing and that was a deli Clerk.

It may not be much, but at least I have a steady job that helps the family during this tough time. In the mean time, I'm going to at least let the store manager know I have these certifications in different areas and hopefully he can help me go up the company ladder.

Well what have I been doing on the free time, folding a bit- production went to crap and by crap I mean I have running two pc's that run timeless. Work on another Client pc on the side, side job as a local pc tech, my own business. Working on two pc mods at once, side by side, one is about completed while other is just one corner and a base. Yes the 4x motherboards server case is coming quite slowly, mounting other corner tomorrow, or so I hope.

Well till then, later till next update. I'm still around, if you see me with a green dot, it means I'm online even though I might not be at the computer.
