Well i have blown about 4 cold cathode inverters now. They all happen during install, i accidently hooked the +12 and ground backwards. The only thing that blows is a little glass fuse inside it. Does anyone know what type/kind of fuse i can replace it with??

4 times? Is that the Russian Roulette ® model ? :p I hope you have a method for determining the proper connection for the next installation.

Anyways, your not likely to find a fuse like that locally. I'd say your best bet you be to just bypass the fuse on the board by jumpering it and then installing an inline fuse like this in the 12v power lead. I can't imagine inverters take very much power, I'd get a .25 or .5 amp fuse and you should be set.

it was all on different occations, and really only 1 was my fault.
ill find some 12v 1amp fuses. Thanks

ur gonna blow up ur computer if you use a 1 amp fuse for a inverter...
get at most a 12v .1 amp fuse
