Ah, thats for the 90mm fan in the side of the case. It is a resistor that steps down 12v to 7v.

Currently at 690/1.6Ghz ( Most CCC will allow! ) Tested on FEAR @ 1680x1050 4xaa/8xaf MAX everything but soft shadows....runs oh so well :D No artifacts either

Can't wait for some good after market coolers to come out for it. From what i've heard, the new one from Arctic Cooling is trash...which is odd because they usually make top notch stuff. There is one from Zalman w/ a heatpipe which looks excellent though.

Sure looks like it, doesn't it?
I wanted to get rid of the noisy little fan on the Matrox, but just leaving the oem heatsink resulted in unacceptable temps. Dug into my old PSU heatsinks & found one that was a exact match & fit in w/ just pressure. Bent it down a tad to catch air.
