I just got the nano today (2 GB) from walmart, know of any good acessories that are worth purchasing?
 
i had sony mdr-ex71's from my last ipod, cant stand normal ipod headphones very painful after about an hour or so plus they all break eventually
 
If you don't have good quality music (192 or so, maybe VBR as well) then new headphones will only make your life harder :cool:

Anyhow, the most popular accessory is the case. If it were me my first buys would be a case and headphones. Followed by things that let you use it in your car.
 
Some of the best ear buds would be the Etymotic, Shure, or Ultimate Ears. Headphone.com is where I read about them most of the time. They are alot more comfortable than a pair of hard ear buds.

QFT. The Invisible Shield is great. Its even better when used in addition to a hard protective case. it protects from scratches and swirls caused from going in and out of a pocket.

 
A good hard case like the Agent18 or Aluminum ones from ebay are useful - they'll keep your player from getting dents from drops and from getting crushed. I think Apple Store sells Agent18s in-store for around 20 bucks.
 
Does the Nano allow you to transcode music down to 192kps AAC? My Shuffle has that option which is great because all my music is 320 MP3, and I don't want to store lower quality copies on my computer....so transcodes on the fly. Can fit about 180 songs on there like that.
 
You HAVE to buy a case of some sort if you don't want it completely, totally, entirely covered in scratches within a few days. All you have to do is look at it wrong and it will scratch. Mine's all scratched up from wiping fingerprints off on my t-shirt. :rolleyes:
