I think it's almost 6 inches. My 9500 fits with about 2 inches to the window.

how wide is your case? the ninja is 15cm tall so measure 15cm from the top of your cpu

i'm not going to lie.... i don't have a ruler or tape measure *failure* I'm still getting stuff together for my apartment

But anyways, yours is 4.9 inches high if you have the Zalman CNPS9500

The Ninja is 5.9 inches, so i really am hoping there is an extra inch

regardless, i already ordered it so we'll find out and i will post :-P

Stick a cd up to the mobo. If there's at least 1" extra space, it'll fit.

from the CD test it seems i have about an extra inch maybe even an inch and a half

There's plenty of room then.
A cd is the same size as a 120mm fan, which hangs over the finned area of the Ninja by about 1/4 - 3/8 of an inch. Then the base of the ninja is about 3/4 - 1" inch.
I had to go look at my other box to see how the Ninja sits inthere, but it's in a cheapo POS case and there's plenty of room, sp no worries about that lian li case.
