Hey everyone, I'm having a weird issue with this game I downloaded, called Endless Fire (if you like vertical shooters look it up, it's a blast). What happened was this: Earlier in the summer I had a radeon 9600xt. I forget the driver version but I used the Omega drivers, not the catalyst. Now, I would turn up the opengl settings like mad (max aa, af, etc) because I was playing through the original serious sam for the millionth time. Now if I tried to play Endless Fire (which is completely 2D) with the opengl settings like that, the game would be so slow it would be unplayable. So not a big deal, just turn off things like aa and af and the game was fine. Now I'm running a 6600gt with the latest forceware drivers (updated on 12/18), and no matter how much I tweak things, Endless Fire is mad slow. Unplayable slow. I've created a profile for the .exe and turned everything off, and it still crawls. I've tried turning off everything on the general profile and it doesn't change the game at all. I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

did u use driver cleaner to get rid of the omega drivers for the ATI card? they mite be clashing...

No I didn't use drivercleaner, hadn't heard of it until today. will try it though, thanks :) Any other ideas?

whats the results on the drivercleaner???

Hey sorry I went on vacation and just got back, haven't had a chance to run it, will do so this weekend :)

Ran drivercleaner today to get rid of the ATI stuff, didn't make any difference. Are the omega drivers for nvidia any good? The problem is this game is really basic, you just run the .exe and press "start," there's no real options or anything. This is driving me nuts though because it's a lot of fun.

sounds like problems with the program and the current drivers. I would simply email the publishers and ask them for advice they should know.
