The rumours were true! FrozenCPU is now the USA distributor of Alphacool products. See linky and Linky 2 for more details. New products going up everyday as fast as they can snap pics and use Photoshop. :D

Ready for a new look?

same pics that were up two days ago I think, but yeah, they are alphacool distributers too.

Question is: FCPU already had higher than average prices, so what happens when expensive german W/C stuff hits an already expensive store?

But then again, it might now be bad either, and FCPU's service is pretty good, from what I've dealt with them.

I've always had great service with frozencpu.com. Its true that their prices are a little higher than most but they make up for it in good speedy service, plus they have some hard to find items so sometimes its worth it to order everything from one place. I think its pretty cool that they have a custom sleeving service for their fans and psus. But it costs $$$

seems small bore is gradually taking over the world...

last place to conquer.. home of the large bore. :p

But seriously, it's all good.. means more choice.

Nope, can't say I like that look at all, the cap just looks to "Futuristic" for my taste. Then again, I haven't seen one in person yet.

huh what?
any idea if it'll come in 1/2" ID tubing sizes?
or better yet 3/4"ID?

i don't know, maybe if you light it up with a red LED, have a black case, and name the thing HAL 9000.........other than that, the way it looks just doesn't do much for me.

btw... that's not an Alphacool product, it's a Cape Corp one. Although their tube type reservoirs are sweet though (and Alphacool are crap by comparison!)

Yes I knew that, but it is for sale on the Alphacool website. Those Germans aren't picky about who they sell to. :D

Try it and you might get used to the look. Uhh ohh... Please don't use any of this stuff because I wouldn't want to be accused of performing religious conversions on the [H]ardForum. :p

look....i wasn't saying that to be totally negative.

TBH, i like the way that the aqua tube looks, with it's flat "viewglass" better.

i'm not likely to pick up any of these products, since, as i think that i have made clear in the past, i didn't build my cooling solution wth appearances in mind, and i don't see that changing.

edit: we all know that you would be quite happy if the whole watercooling world started going small bore and further supported you view that cooling capacity doesn't matter. i will continue to spite you as long as i am a student working summers. after that....who konws.....i might try it and like it. i doubt that i would like it, but you never know.

What about if Santa Claus sent you one?

i would sell if for what i could get, since i'm pretty sure that it wouldn't play nice with the flow rates that i run.

i believe that you recently pointed out the problems of running an aqua tube in a high flow loop. i don't believe that this unit would be all that much different, with respect to your stated concerns.

Well if you play like that Santa won't be making an extra visit this year. ;) The problem with the reservoirs is when you try and run an Aquajet. You don't have to use an Aquajet. :D
