TEMPS, OVERCLOCKS COMING THIS WEEKEND.
In all seriousness, I have achieve great overclocks and temps with a Storm running 3/8" tygon (Aquastream pump, Thermochill PA120.2 rad) but it still looks bulky. I will give this a try as Sharka did not receive any Cuplex XT's and I am feeling lucky.
Plus it gives me a reason to install my tubemeters, and multiswitch.
hmmmmmm.... i have some spare AC parts.Derrick70 said:what do I win?

nice counter top either way. i bet that they told you that it's "granite" heheh......i'm currently taking minerology 1, that's not an empty jab. it looks nice regardless of the actually rock that it is made of.
unlikely to be a laminant based on the appearance of the quartz granules, and how some are deeper than others, under tha layer of epoxy/laquer.Derrick70 said:come on now where not talking counter tops here but im willing to bet its wood with the laminat [sp] rock look.
Actually I am more interested in how well it maintains my overclock with fans running 3vdc on the thermochill radiator. If I am not sucessful, I will give the XP a try. Worth a try, that is for sure.DFI Daishi said:trying again to drive home your point regarding the importance (or lack thereof) of watercooling performance?
Thanks! I had it installed early this year. Boy what a difference. For the record, the material is silestone. http://www.silestoneusa.com/ Both of both worlds in regards to durability.DFI Daishi said:nice counter top either way. i bet that they told you that it's "granite" heheh......i'm currently taking minerology 1, that's not an empty jab. it looks nice regardless of the actually rock that it is made of.
cool. we looked at both natural granite and corian http://www.corian.com/corian/a/en/h/Main/index.html when we re-did our kitchen last year.R1ckCa1n said:Thanks! I had it installed early this year. Yeah, I did the opposite. I replaced all the cabinets and lived off a "off the shelve" counter from Home Depot for two years until I got up to the countertops. I also created an island at the same time so it was good stuff. I hear you on the drawers. Two of the four main cabinets are drawers in my setupDFI Daishi said:cool. we looked at both natural granite and corian http://www.corian.com/corian/a/en/h/Main/index.html when we re-did our kitchen last year.
at the end of the day, we moved to laminant and did a bit more with the cabinatry instead. giong over to drawers for a lot of our storage space really did make more of a difference in terms of having a more functional kitchen than the more expensive counter top would have.

Yeah, I'm going all the way to 6mm. My original intent was to buy a Cuplex XT since I sold my other one but they didn't have one. Trust me I will be the first to rip it out if going that far down in tube size affects my overclock, which in my mind is the performance.Erasmus354 said:Anyways, get some picks and results up, although I doubt it will make much of a noticeable difference. The temperature change shouldn't be enough to adversely affect your OC (unless your going all the way to 6mm tubing), and the CPU temp probe is too inaccurate to trust any results from it.

nope but now rick can finally put something together
No shit! I can't beleive IT-Trade didn't ship any XT's. All I really wanted were the pads for the RAMPLEX and ended up walking out with the pads, a multiswitch, tube meter, res for one aquastream, and all new tubing.......Dillusion said:nope but now rick can finally put something together
R1ckCa1n said:Sharka has tubemeters...... I saw about 10 on their shelf. They just might now have it up on their website yet. Best bet is to call them and inquire.
R1ckCa1n said:I paid more than that from IT-Trade.

i must be getting cheep 42 bux is a lil steep for some reason i though they were 30 bux tops
Erasmus354 said:42 dollars to tell how much water is in your resevoir!?!
For that amount of money you could buy a monkey to cook your meals, clean your house, and stare at your resevoir all day.
Pardon me for choking on my drink over that...I guess if you have the money you dont mind spending it on your "super secret undercarriage coating that improves performance 1337%!!!"
Derrick70 said:do you have a link to the 42 dollar monkey if not STFU
Erasmus354 said:apparently sarcasm is unknown to you...I dont know how I could have made it more obvious.....
The fact remains 42 dollars is a hell of a lot of money to spend on a superfluous piece of equipment. As I said in the original post, if you have the money some people dont mind spending it, they just want it to have it. If they have the money it is theirs to spend how they want.
I guess you also missed the subtle reference to undercoating, a scam that car salesmen use to get you to buy something that you dont need (which is actually fake).
Derrick70 said:Im still waiting for this link to the monkey? did you find it yet?
undercoating on a car? do you live in a state where is snows and salt is dumped on the road? when i bought my truck 4 years ago i had it under coated it was 2000 bux. now i was more or less buying a paint and rust protection that lasts for 8 years. so any flaws in the paint or body and gm gets it back to fix it. thats not a bad deal to me. now if i lived in AZ or some thing i wouldent have gotten the protection.
Thank you sir!J-Pepper said:I have a feeling he's far too young for that and that he doesn't actual earn enough money to buy a monkey or get married either
42 Bucks may seem expensive for those who don't work and still live with their parents.. but for the majority of working people here... it doesn't seem too much for peice of mind or even because they want too...
It seems mommy and daddy would have a fit if they knew junior had spent all his pocket money on an electric lollipop stick, although they may be pleased if they got a monkey instead.

Erasmus354 said:Actually I work part time and go to school full time (19 credit hours they wouldn't let me take more), I just plopped down 305$ on a new processor today, and bought two Xbox360's at launch. So please dont try and lecture me about working, or spending money. 42$ is nothing to me, I however like to put my purchases into things I will actually use (although the processor was just a lil birthday present for myself).
Keep the personal insults to yourself. It doesn't take much of a man to talk down to someone on the intraweb, it takes a bigger man to take the higher road.
As for its usefulness, for half the price you can pick up a bottle of MCT-5....22$ down the drain.

Maybe you should add J-Pepper to your sig too?Erasmus354 said:So either I am personally insulting an inanimate object, or I am not allowed to have an opinion on anything? I dont get what your point is, I have not personally insulted you or anyone else in this thread. I have stated my opinion on the usefullness of the tubemeter, especially for its price. I have also stated numerous times if people have the money and wish to buy it that is their prerogative.
I think I will take some pictures of the countertop and maple cabinets.ScHpAnKy said:I loved the point in this thread where it turned into remodeling
