Look what i got in the mail today

oh, the 1gb sticks are all 5b D, because they're 64mb chips, 16 of them (double sided) makes 1024mb. if you used 5b G, you'd need 32 chips which isn't really very feasible ;)

heh, not with that attitude ;)

what voltage do you use to get the crucial value up in the 250s eclipse? I haven't really tried feeding mine more volts yet...

the my 1gb stick needed 2.9v at 3-3-3 to do 263mhz superPI 32m stable, but i don't have that stick anymore :(
the 128mb stick needed 3.4v to get a 265mhz screen at 2.5-2-2, but max stable was around 250mhz with ~3.2v

kinda a bump for a two of reasons.

1 - i got 300mhz stable at 2.8v:

2- CCU has my D now, and has popped the speaders on both sticks.
his, which was bought in mid-july, has 0524 and 0526 chips.. curious that the batch is mixed eh?
mine, which i got 2 weeks ago, is onlt 2-4 weeks later, with a consisitant 0528

Hey Eclipse, how do I tell if my ballistix are the 5b D chips?

So it would be best to run 1gb of ballistix(which is 5b D right) or 2 512mb 5b D?
I am gonna buy some ballistix soon but dont know which to go for.

i prefer G over D, but G won't always be what you get. if you had to pick between 2x512mb sticks of D and a 1gb stick.. if you only wanted 1gb total and you have a dual channel rig, it should be obvious :D

also, something interesting... leave your spreaders on the ballistix unless you plan on putting actual ramsinks on, as i lost a few mhz that came back when i put the spreaders back on.. and yes, i'm actively cooled. this might change my whole outlook on heatspreaders :p

Just to confirm -- my 2 x 512 MB PC3200 both have .16TG at the end. These are double-sided G die sticks, right?

yup, i just got ccu's stick about 15 min ago.. looks to be clocking almost exactly the same as my other G stick!

soon enough ;)
we'll find someone who'll trade up some tccd for it eventually.
