Monarch 24hour sale

Yall quit your bitching have you thought that the reason it's so slow is because we are ALL on the server(s)? If you click the Rebate link all the deals are there. I bought 2 7800GT's and the A8N32.

No, the reason it's so slow is because they underestimated consumer response to their advertising and they didn't install the necessary equipment to handle the load.

Doesn't look like I'll be buying from them. Nothing special. sigh. Guess I'll hope woot has something special here in 10mins, take a nap for four hours, and go to bestbuy

yea i've been volleying between monarch and newegg ... I might just get an external... they had a 250gb for $150. not bad :p

I will never buy a drive from newegg again. I ordered 2 drives from them, they both came DOA. I thought fine, bad manufacturing runs, whatever. I sent them back, got 2 replacement drives. They both came DOA. I sent them back and got a refund.

Newegg packs their drives in peanuts and bubble wrap, which is a NO-NO for packing drives.

Just my two cents.

anyone ever use that leadtek tv tuner set up they have on there? any good? i need one

Are either of these 2 computers good deals? I'm asking on behalf of a friend who wants to buy a Dell, but either of these AMD PCs might be a better value. Also, are these full systems (w/ all components already installed) or does Monarch just ship the individual components and the buyer has to install them himself? TIA.

ok, so the rebates are basically 1 rebate per household per item SPECIFIED right?? well, how bout if i order 1 evga 256-P2-N515-AX, with the 20 rebate, and 1 256-P2-N517-AX with the 30 rebate. then, i should technically be gettin 50 bux worth off. since the only difference would be 25mhz on the cpu, and 15mhz on the mem, i think i should be able to overclock the weaker card up a bit. Ideas??

hmmm....i saw that, but im confused on how the rebate works, is it both rebates?? or do you just pick one??

Ok all I read at the top of the page is beat the clock untill rebates expire?

I it rare I ever see rebates come back to me. It is not worth the hassel of going through all the extra crap just to prove I ever sent it.

Time to close tab on this one.

You can get around the original UPC requirement by sending both rebates in the same envelope, but I can't be certain if that creates problems with the one rebate per household limitation. Damned good deal if both rebates go through, only mediocre if either fails.

If you read the fine print at the bottom on the Abit Kn8 Ultra or SLI rebate form, it says newegg!

WTF?

http://www.monarchcomputer.com/rebates/110306.pdf

I put the Kn8 SLI in "combo" with an Opteron 148 ($207)... I wonder if they will still honor the rebate....

P.S. Whats the difference between the "1" series Opterons and the "2" series?

P.P.S. I think the XFX 7800GT is overclocked to 450, 1050. with the rebate thats about $73 cheaper than last week ($349 vs. $276)

what about the

XFX GeForce 7800 GT 256MB DDR3/PCI-E/TV-Out/DUAL-DVI (Retail Box)

price is $305.99 + 7.81 shipping - $30 MIR

The 2 series can be used two at a time... in skt940.
The 1 series is a single cpu.

i just ordered:

190339 XFX GeForce 7800 GT 256MB DDR3/PCI-E/TV-Out/DUAL-DVI (Retail Box) 1 $305.99 $305.99

100241 Antec True Power 2 550 SLI ATX 2.01 550W Power Supply 1 $84.99 $84.99

both are cheaper than newegg before rebates

I'm not sure what you mean by support PCI-E, any of them should work. This is the one I would get.
I think he meant if the PSU has the 6-pin PCI-E adaptor that some video cards (such as NVidia's GeForce) require. I know my PSU (Seasonic S12-600) has two b/c it's certified for SLI.

Monarch has the DFI NF4 Infinity (non-ultra) on sale for ~$80 shipped. That's $10 less than the cheapest I could find it elsewhere. I tried to place an order but after I submitting my payment info, a screen came up saying that they were unable to authorize my payment. Strange  I called my credit card and they said they didn't receive any request from monarch. Even more  ... I looked for contact info on monarch's site and noticed they are not open for phone orders but I thought I would try anyway. I contacted sales and got an automated message that said their voicemail box was full and then hung up on me :( What kind of service is that? I've never ordered anything from them before and since they don't seem to want my money, I will never give it to them.

Maybe something was wrong with your information when you typed it in? Sometimes it has to be EXACT.
If it says they are closed for phone orders, what kind of service do you expect if you call?!?! Someone to magically show up just because you called?? Just curious.

If there is a shit load of voicemails eventually it will become full.
Who is there to empty out the voicemail? Remember you said it yourself, they are closed. Monarch is pretty good compared to some of the other e-tailers out there, give it another shot bro, it may go through this time.

Damnit, I'm totally torn as to which 7800gt to get. I've only had BFGs offerings but am willing to look at the others.

Can anyone recommend one among the XFX, eVGA, or Leadtek? I want the best bang for my buck.

Note: I don't plan on upgrading to another card for at least a year. I also have a 3000+ Winnie (for reference)

Thank You

I have an EVGA card (PCI-E version of the 6800 GT) and it's been working well - so far! They also have the lifetime warranty that BFG does.

Yeah, I think it also passes over, so you can transfer it to another owner if you sell it. XFX has a "double lifetime warranty" which is kinda goofy if you ask me.

Does Leadtek offer a lifetime warranty?

XFX 7800 GT teased me all day. Oh well, the gods wanted me to buy it. Somehow my credit limit was doubled by my credit union. Signs and portents that I am to experience gaming bliss.

Double lifetime warranty? That sounds pretty good for someone who sells used video cards to others (e.g. via EBay). I didn't know EVGA has that policy as well. I'm not sure if Leadtek offers a lifetime warranty; I never heard of them doing so. You might want to double check w/ the folks in the Video Card > NVidia sub-forum.

This is standard Monarch behavior. Do not be alarmed.

I would take note of what time you did this etc if the problem still persists contact them on Monday and speak with them they may be nice enough to backdate the promotion as long as all rebates etc are still active.
