Anybody Remember the game CarmaGeddon?? Of all the remakes of old classics they really have to bring back this awsome game!!

A next gen remake of carmmageddon would be awesome. Imagine carmmageddon with HL2 graphics :eek: . Let the mayhem begin!!! :D

lol on that note... imagine ALL the good games of old in half life 2 graphics.... man... that is sweetness
 
that was the best car game ever. I could play that days. My favorite moment in that game for all time will be I drove off a building. and landing right on a group of poeple. I must have watched that replay a thousands times before contuineing playing
 
a classic! Very good game to relieve all that stress you get from the freeway traffic. :D

There was a Carmageddon 4 that was due to be out in late 05/early 06 but got scrapped. I still have the whole series, if you look deep enough, you can find good underground support for the series, I loved the TDR2k Doom 3 level that came out a few months ago it looked great!

I still think its the last great mod'able car games!

That was a cool game. They should remake it. Although with today's politics it probably wouldn't be allowed.
 
Carmageddon was being remade and the remake was supposed to come out this year but it was cancelled :/

You can probably spend too much time on trying to get it to run like crap, with Glidos/vdmsound/VDD, if you want to try, maybe vogons forum can help with wasting time, here is a thread that might be helpful:

You'd be far better off just having a dual boot with Win 98SE and some glide wrappers. I remember wasting a few days to get Shadow Warrior to run in XP with DosBox, it just wasn't worth my time cause it wouldn't run right :(

I loved Herman the monster truck from that game!

Now if you want carmageddon 2/3 on XP, that is do'able!

Carmagordon is a mod for hl2. I haven't played it so I don't know if it's good or not.

The title, developed by Sci Games in 1997, urged players to run down innocent civilians, who exploded into egregious chucks upon contact with the car windshield. The game was fairly successful at retail and spawned two sequels in the years following.

However, it looks like players who were revving their engines for Carmageddon 4 just received some disheartening news. Publisher Eidos has reportedly ceased all work on the title. There’s still hope that another company will take over the reins but, for now, the release of Carmageddon 4 is highly in question.
The game was first mentioned in a SCi financial statement almost two years ago, and was slated for a fourth quarter 2005 release on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC. Eidos has not yet commented on the status of Carmageddon 4, but IGO will keep you posted as information comes to light." IGO
 
The only game that I want remade that hasnt been done yet is Slaughter house. A long time ago I wanted a ninja gaiden or a wrestling game with nothing but old school wrestlers. Got em both :). Only one was good ;/
