seriously you guys are going over board

When someone uses a common phrase and it happens to have a word like ass or piss in it that doesnt mean anyone is name calling
example:

talkin out of your ass=you are making that up
Pissin contest is another thing you guys must not know the meaning of cause i see that being pointed out to people too.

that isn't name calling, and the words chosen don't change the message, what a joke it is when peopel can't get that.

you guys are looking really bad by not being able to tell sarcasm and by labeling things name calling that arent name calling.

you are even temporary banning people for it?

go ahead and move this thread cause who would want anyone to see it and god knows none of you listen to any of the feedback you get.

you guys are wrong, its bad adminning and bad modding and I am done on this forum as a result.

they are modding completely subjective opinions and well its impossible to do that effectively

wouldnt even care so much if they werent temp banning poeple for subjective judgement calls. It's not right and seems like a mother slapping a child for saying something the child didn't even know was wrong. The worse part is some other mom wouldn't have thought what the kids was wrong in the first place.

well if someone said I was "talking out of my ass" It would probably piss me off and could have the potential to start a flame war. Good luck finding a better Forum though, even if the mods are wrong you'll never find one that isn't from time to time. Trust me I've searched one end of the internet to the other, and this will always be my favorite forum. I think you are the one going overboard...

the words are what they are regulating not the messages.

would you tell your boss (or teacher, depending upon your age) that they are "talking out of their ass"?? you should treat people on this messageboard with the same respect that you would treat professional coworkers.

It's not the words or the message, It's the attitude. The point is it would offend a lot of people to be told that. It is the mods job to make sure no one gets offended and starts a huge flame war over nothing.

yes as a matter of fact I would, my boss and I share something called mutual respect for one another. I don't get my feeling hurt because he uses a word like ass or piss he gives me the same respect, its called being a grown up.

we are enthusiasts and members of a community and we can't bust balls or be sarcastic with each other?It's called the modding community not the modding individuals
this is friendly more than business enviroment and especially given that, it seems people need to lighten up get a sense of humor and stop being so hyper sensitive.
Sure there would be assholes but so they get banned anyways.

to me if someone said I made something up that is more insulting because they flat out said it rather than saying something clever.

While I agree with your right to express your opinion, this is not the forum for it. Complaints as this should be directed to the mod in which the occurrance took place. If that isn't sufficient contact [email protected] directly. Posting here to get support only brings the response that this board is not a democracy.
