Ragdoll Kung-Fu, the very original steam game was released today. My trigger fingers itching to pull the trigger on buying the $14 game. I've read rave reviews about it but am interested in how the [H]ard community feels about it. Anyone play it yet? Please post your thoughts / feelings here!

i know i'm slow, but what's this game about? about kung fu fighting? or what? i'm clueless..

NOTE: before you say google is your friend, i did, but i'm at work right now and cant access any games sites :p

 Is this the one where you pick up the arms and legs and move them around and its a fighting game?

whatever game that is, i dont get it, but i hear its fun.

The game dose'nt really look like my kind of game, but it still looks pretty interesting. Won't buy it though, seems like something I'll play for a month.

A waste of $14. If this was a free download it would be worth getting for the occasional play when you have 20 min to waist. The control is anoying as hell specially when you have multiple charecters on the screen. Trying to grab a particular limb to pull off a move when you have 3 other guys on top of you is next to impossible.

This is definately going to be one of those cult following type games. I personaly think it's a waist of time and money.

Well, I made the plunge, downloading now. I'll post my thoughts here after I've played for a bit.

I can't believe they charged $14 for that game. I'd think if they charged anything at all, it would be more like $5.

edit: actually, on second though, it looks pretty fun.

Well.. the guys worked on it for over three years in a lot of his spare time, so $15 is not really that much, especially if you play online. It's a good game if you want to just jump in for a few minutes for a break.

Besides, we have no real idea what Steam charges for each game sold too.. they may take $5 for each copy the guy sells.

I love the game personally. The learning curve is a bit steep since this form of control has never been implemented before. But after a half-hour I was flitting about with ease. Must really shine in multiplayer but I'm enjoying singleplayer too much.

It's a 15 dollar game. People toss down 10 bucks to see a movie for ~2 hours, 17 bucks for dinner at a sit-down restaurant. It's worth trying. At least all the folks who're upset about FPS clone games should be excited try an original game.

The gameplay/control method is genius once you've figured out the little tricks to get good at it(Lets skilled players distinguish themselves from the pack too). You can pull off some pretty cool flipping headstomp stuff after awhile. I haven't tried the multiplayer, but I wish singleplayer had a bit more padding in terms of stuff to unlock/achieve/collect like in Super Smash Bros. Super smash wouldn't have been nearly as fun for me if it didn't have stuff to find. This game does have about 8 gameplay modes to unlock, but after that you've found everything. But Smash was full price while this was 15 bucks, so it's alright.

After playing for a while now I think this game is definitely worth the $14.

The controls will throw you off / piss you off for the first 15 minutes until you realize you aren't going to be playing it in the same way you've played other fighting games in the past. It was probably about 45 minutes until I felt fully in control of what my guy was doing and even so, it seems like there is a very deep complexity this seemingly simple game is capable of.

Don't start up the game expecting to sit down with it for hours on end, your wrist won't let you even if you really wanted to. But expect to come back to this game for 30 minutes here and there quite often. As someone said above its a great game to take a break with.

On a side note, this control system sparked my imagination with thoughts of the type of games we can expect from the nintendo revolution and its unique control design. I can't help but imagine smash brothers on the revolution playing out in a new way somewhat like this.
