Very good 80mm fans quiet/fast

Very expensive, but SilenX fans are the quietest fans I know of. Even better than Papst, but more expensive.

As an owner of 3 vantec stealth 80mm in one case, I cannot recommend them. At a standard 12v, they are not stealthy. If you hook them up to a fan controller and slow them down from the stock 2200rpm@12v to around 1800-1900rpm, they're not too bad, but there are better fans for the money.

Yate Loon 8025M

Great balance at 12v, effectively silent at 7
Quoted for truth. They respond very well to undervolting.

Just so you know... you can't really have both low-noise and high-airflow. It just doesn't work.

I'm also in the market for some quiet yet higher output 80mm fans to replace the fans that came with my cooler master praetorian. I thought about going the whole vantec tornado + fan controller but it's just too much trouble not to meantion I want it sort of quiet.

I'm not affiliated. They ship pretty quickly and pack well. Also, they have a 120mm version:

I haven't tried those since I accidently bought the

(Made by young lin, not yate loon, but they run fairly well at 7v).

Excellent fans all around, the guys at SPCR really like the yate loons and I completely agree with them.

Edit: These are very good case fans at 12 and 7v, but remember that you will not get the best temps if you use these on your CPU heatsink. Like _Korruption_ said, it's always a trade off. These fit the mid/low performance sector with a mid-low/silent sound signature.
