7800 gtx recall?

I am being told Nvidia is recalling their 7800 series?

I was told it was not announced yet, but is going to happen..
 
I think who ever told you that needs to lay off whatever there smoking...or start sharing with all of us. ;)

If is true nVidia better start packing their bags.
This would be worse than the first Squaresoft GCI movie was to Square (FF: Something spirits?)
Its just too awful to be true. And how would the recall be handled? You would have to send to to your Card Vendors? OEM? 'The Store'?.

Meh. This is very unlikely. Maybe, at worst, a card vendor will needed to recall a certain batch. Considering the G70 is based of the nv40, they would have needed to have screwed up BIG time to recall the cards. The old 6800U still work so a 'descendant' of the card should last.

I heard ATi signed a deal with Satan and for every sale they kill a puppy. Nvidia on the other hand uses lab animals in thier testing and has to find 30,000 new subjects every day to keep up with R&D.

Ok someone needs to calm down. He may be craving attention or maybe he read it somewhere. I dont know for sure and Im not gonna believe ANYTHING until nVidia announces anything offically. So you need to just calm down there buddy.

You heard it some other forums, so you decide to spread the rumor to these forums. :rolleyes:

If you had read it on an actual news site, even The Inquirer (although you'd be laughed at even more if you linked the Inq) then that would be one thing...but seriously, you accomplish nothing by posting this here. Why not ask on those forums if you need to know so badly. :rolleyes:

maybe he questioned the authenticity of whatever site he heard from so was asking here to get the record straight ...then again , maybe he works for ATI ...I dont know .. :p

And just for the record, I too believe this to be a nasty rumor with no truth behind it. If there was a hardware defect we would have seen it by now. Anything else can be resolved with a bios/driver update, right?

I didn't know that if someone posted something that didn't cater to one's hardware "beliefs" (rofl) that they would be attacked.
