You CAN use coupon code 2$3B$R2CLSR30V to get 20% off of the new system. It helps the wallet and hopefully they will come up with a new promotional coupon for their "new" system. Just an FYI.
 
It works. Saves about 700 bucks on a mostly default config with the 7800 Go GTX
 
I hope they come out with a 35% off code for a new promo with the m170's, but 700 off is nothing to sneeze at. I am sure other codes like $50 off might be able to be added as well. Anyone buying one yet? I think in the next couple of days I'll bite on this new laptop.
 
The big change in this XPS or the last one is the 7800 GTX GO card which is running slower than its desktop brother. 400/1.1ghz

I wonder if this is faster than a 6800Ultra Desktop counterpart?
 
Needed a new laptop and ended up buying one with all the trimmings. Thanks for posting the coupon it saved me $900.

Did Dell happen to give you an estimated ship date on that order? I am curious to see when these will start shipping.

What's your point? You can't be suggesting clock speed determines performance.....

If so, I have a 3ghz Pentium 4 to trade for your FX-57.
 
hey thanks! I just ordered a new one for the same price as the one I ordered 2 weeks ago with lesser equipment and the 6800!
 
No problem, just gotta hope that I'll be able to use a coupon when it is time for my purchase!
 
2731 in 3dmark05 is just not right for the 6800Go. I get anywhere from 3500-4000 depending which drivers I use. And that is without overclocking.

Right now it says 10/17. Hopeing its going to be sooner :)
 
Thats not bad at all. 2-3 weeks on these is better than the 1 month + it took for the XPS2 w/ the 6800 Ultra to ship.
