How about mentioning the friendly competition we're in. You don't have to name names, but we saw our largest increases in people it was mentioned that we're #2 trying to get back to #1.

Also, like Steve does, highlight some of the threads where people have asked and recieved help on Folding related questions, and maybe try and include a little blurb about UD once and again.

 
I mentioned this in the other thread, but I think it would be good to mention that we're working to take back #1 from OCAU. Everybody loves an underdog coming back for the win.
 
I know that hotlinks are taboo, but what about copying one of the graphs showing [H] vs OCAU? How about mentioning important events, like our upcoming 7-days-in-a-row-over-400k-points? Maybe a link to the "D to 1000 boxen" thread, so people can see what we're doing?
 
Mention if they have an extra boxen lying around dead with no OS, how easy it is to install and run Mage's DamnSmallFolder and turn crap into "crappers".

 
You could also mention all the other projects that we fiddle with in addition to folding, but that are folding related like the team wallpapers, the [H] badges that Hito has, or any of the other stuff that we do down here that no one else does.

 
We need a link to the recruiting posters. Many of those things are damn nice and I think we've received good responses to them before.

We should probabaly have a thread or three specifically for the front page stuff. I put it this way to emphasize needing to keep the threads almost completely on topic. For the first time people checking them out for the original intent of the thread, going off topic hurts the usefulness of the thread for that person.

Agreed, there *almost* needs to be a "DC" GanMay thread so we can keep this one clean for team discussion.

Do you guys think we should denote certain threads from now on with something like "No O/T" in the title, just to keep them clean?

 
Like Mohonri said, I'd mention that we're starting to outproduce OCAU again and have a chance to regain the lead. Showing a graph or something or projected overtake/production I think would be pretty cool.

I mentioned this in the other thread too, but I would also mention the gauntlets and such. Friendly intra-team competition in addition to interteam competition. :)

 
Oh, another idea:

Maybe link to the "Get to know each other" thread so people can learn about the people on the team the post in the forums. :)

I don't know. If you don't see me for awhile, then I guess not. I had to move things up a bit more to cover up more of the "wire harness" since I did not know how well that would play.

Scrolling down and finding that picture suddenly consuming the whole monitor that faces a busy walkway at the on-campus library wasn't quite what I expected.. at least, in the DC forum.. but knowing you guys, I'm not surprised :p
 
I don't know how you would be able to work this, but a big clock is always cool. Counting down to [H] beating the aussies. It would have to be tied to the attack/threat calculations.

 
Hmm, I think it'd be possible, I'd have to work with King_N to get it working. And it would flucuate a lot, but it wouldn't be hard to do. I'll think about it.
