Question about LCD

Ghosting can occur at 2ms if your eye can really detect it. CRT's are rated at 1ms and below so even the best LCD's at this time will ghost no matter what.

The question remains, how picky and demanding are you will determine if 12-16ms will be to ghosting. FOR ME *Quote. ME ME ME, NO YOU! ME!* I find my 12ms Dell 2405FPW to have very little ghosting to the point I simply cannot notice it. My Hyunda L90D+ was 8ms and I couldn't find ghosting even if I tried my hardest.

Then again, some if the LCD" haters will tell you otherwise. Let YOUR eyes be the ultimate judge.

Absolutely, never go by what you read here or anywhere else. When I bought my first LCD I actually drug my computer into the store and tried a few out before I bought.

I was surprised and I’m sure you will be too. It’s for your use man, you must judge with your own eyes. Published specs mean nothing.

Trust me, it’s worth the extra effort ;)

OMG That's AWESOME! I wish I had the balls to pull that one
As far as "ghosting" it is also color dependant. As you can see in the graph below depending on the color the monitor is trying to reproduce you will get a different response. The point is that you want to look for a screen that has uniform latency and doesn't advertise only a very small part of the spectrum in an attempt to represent everything.

Beware millisecond ratings
please forgive me for linking to the "evil" site. I know how loved they are around here...

Some CRTS response times are rated as high as 3ms the Dell 21 inch Sony is.

I would say with 16ms LCD your about in the 50 to 50% range that its ghosting bluring would bother you.

12ms you would have about a 15% range that it would bother you.

8ms it might be about 5% that you would have problems

6 to 4ms most likey you want be bothered at all by it.

From what people post around the forums seems to be about a good guess. :D
