what temps do you guys get on your 3200 venice or any amd processor wtih a Cuplex XT? Or any other processor with any other kind of liquid cooling device.

-20f ;) Why do you ask lemmy? Comparing your temps to someone else's temp is rather pointless due to the huge tolerance of hardware sensors on MB's and GPU's. If you change nothing at all and UG your BIOS you may see wildly different temps.

QFT its only good for comparisons like 'my temp rose 5 degrees'
speedfan says 45 C idle 48 load with only one 120mm fan, should really get another M1A

3.2e 478 prescott lapped over 2000 grit, running at 1.475v and after the cpu a 6800GT flashed to ultra(1.4) voltage all run by dual heatercore with a 87cfm panaflo pumped by a laing D5 and a res(for all it matters)

my 6800 gets about 38C idle 48 load

all my water blocks are sanded past 2000 grit

my ambient temps dont really matter too much for component temps, add 2 degs C full load for cpu and 2 degs for gpu's idle if you wana factor in my room temp being 80F(real hard nowdays since i upgraded from my northwood ironically, athlon-xp was the worst for room temps, i used to have to run my window unit 24/7 for athlon-xp and only when gaming for northwood, never need it for prescott, even when gaming)

i'm just wondering cuz i put my cuplex xt, and i'm getting around 25 degrees celsius during idle times. This is in a room at around 80-85 degrees farenheit, i'll check the difference in temp in a room of 70 degrees farenheit. but 25 seems a bit high for me =/ i might try and redo the AS5. Wondering if i should just reclean it with a alcohol and qtips =/

my 3200+ runs rather cool with the stock hsf :p

idle temps
Sensor Properties:
Sensor Type Winbond W83627THF (ISA 290h)

Temperatures:
Motherboard 25 °C (77 °F)
CPU 27 °C (81 °F)
Aux 19 °C (66 °F)

during prime 95, i cant get it to go above 32c/90f

How do you figure that 25c is high................ Seeing as standard water cooling can't get lower than ambient temps and you said that your ambient temps were 80-85 degrees farenheit, that's around 27c-30c. So that means that your bios is already reporting below ambient temps which isn't possible unless you're running some sort of water chilling system.

25C=77F, so I doubt you will be able to get lower than that unless your temp sensor is WAY off. Dropping room temp will not tell you anything, it will only drop CPU temp by the same amount. If you're going to make any kind of comparison, it should be between the 25C and whatever temp you were getting with your previous cooler.

top nurse what was your room temperature with that 19C reading? and what clock was ur cpu at? mine was at default clock and running 25 C

I was kidding and it was -20 F (20 degrees below zero) that I stated. :D

how do u get -20F???? are u using vapochill or something? Anyways i went to my basement where it was about 74 F and i got 19C temps

That you had to repeat that twice is funny ;)

Your earlier point is very valid though. I can take a CPU from one board to an identical board using the same bios, same voltages, same case and fans and same HSF all sitting next to each other in the same room. When I do this I get a 5c temp difference.

Shouldn’t be, but it is.

Comparing one system to another is an exercise in futility. It’s like exchanging over clock specs for your system set up, way too many variables.

Your board is a liar. I bet you are at least 10c higher than it is reporting...lots of NF3's vary wildly in temps....and with the stock heatsink....you ain't running no 32c under load... :p

thats when my 5 thermaltake smart case fans are full speed 75cfm each. if my case fans are on low its around 40c
