My folding at home directory is 1.1GB, and has over 200 .pdb files, Is this normal? I don't think the client needs to have all those files so can i delete them?

That definately doesn't sound normal. I don't have anything with a .pdb in my FAH directory. Sounds like it could be the work of a virus or something?

Anyone else?

168mb here

the pdb's look to be the files that f@h creates at every timed checkpoint save :)

Maybe you stashed all your pr0n in there to hide it from yo mamma :p

The first thought that came to mind in seriousness was "trojan". "Virus" could also pop in there. "Driveby Drag'n'drop incident" sounds good too.

"step6459.pdb"

considering there is the word step in there.. I think it should be ok ;)

ie step xxx out of xxx completed

My folding directory is sitting at 210 meg right now. I would just leave the files alone. It's probably just the checkpoint information as someone else mentioned. Just make sure the files disappear when you start a new work unit. I'd bet they will when that happens. Then new ones will be put there. If you don't like the disk space it's taking up, then I would suggest setting the checkpoint to a larger interval.
