New 939 mATX @ Newegg!!!

Have you gotten the FSB any higher since you've had a chance to play with it?
What's the fastest your pc3200 will do? Is there any indication that the board isn't locking your memory bus to 'by spd' ? i.e. are you hitting a fsb wall sooner than you otherwise would for that core, as if you were running ram 1:1 and ram limited?
If the HT multi can only go down to 4x, you will be limited to around 250fsb. Not sure if you guys realized this... Hopefully they get it fixed soon.

Do we know for sure there is no 3x HTT multi?

I see AMP on the keyboard and mouse connectors but no where else. Is there a reason why this is a concern?
Not really, just someone was complaining about ECS...

FYI ECS is AMP...The same company that is a major owner of ECS/PCChips owns AMP...and they make all those fancy Nike, Adida etc... They are Pou Chen Group, aka Global Brands.

Funny how the so called "worst or worst" shows up in the least expected places huh...

Other than that, the Jetway boards look like a great deal...

PS, I emailed Jetway to see who they got their PCB's from, I directly asked if Pou Chen Group (ECS) OEM'd their PCB's, at this point I've had no reply from them...

I cant get my mic working, I can hear myself talk into it, but the computer doesnt register anything, anyone else having this problem?

Im waiting for another BIOS update though for the A210GDMS-Pro because the Dram speed always sets at DDR400 when the bios dram is set to manual mode.

Well I switched to the Jetway! On the ECS, I was getting the same memory errors with 2 sets of UTT w/3.38v @ 240fsb - 1 set that supposedly does 255fsb @ 3.3v. So I was not sure whether my VDIMM mod was reporting the wrong VDIMM, northbridge needed more volts or north/south bridges were overheating, but it did not look like a RAM issue. Even removed the crappy thermal stickers on the north/south bridges and applied Ceramique - did not help. Jetway & booster was finally too appealing to resist... ;)

Booster works awesomely! Dual channel with DIMM slots 1-2 populated and the booster crammed into the 4th slot. Volts go up to 3.9v+ as seen in bios & tested with a multi-meter. Ran it that high for all of a nano-second, for obvious reasons. Oh and the booster works with 24-pin power supplies, although mine is ATX 1.3 so that may make a difference.

That's as far as I got, but will hopefully get to testing everything tonight.

So... who wants to buy a ~3.4 VDIMM voltmodded/vmodded ECS board? :D

Nice.
Post back when you find the fsb limits of the board with your ram and cpu turned down.

Finally put my system together! Went together great. Overclocked at 2.2G. Not as much as I wanted but the peformance compared to the Intel system is very noticable. Did not get video card yet but the onboard graphics are sufficient for now. I am pretty happy but I sure would like a bios with a working memory divider.

Not going to get very far with UTT, but I'll see what I can do. VDD was stock 1.8v I believe and goes up to 1.9v - should be enough to max out the 280 limit in bios... if the HT multi worked. Like I said 250fsb should be the limit, if that's true about it not working. Only other issue might be the worthless sink on the northbridge, which is, ironically, even dinkier than the ECS one, which is still smaller than MSI's!

My PSU took a nosedive when I was messing with bioses. Replacement is not being shipped until tomorrow...

Board does 250fsb stable, that's about all I can say. New modded bios (see the other thread) allows you to adjust the LDT multis, but I was having issues flashing. Also, I was wrong before; 300fsb is the max in bios.

Does it function as a normal desktop board, can the vdimm be set back to stock?

I'm not looking to OC...I've got a new toy coming my way and it needs a home...PM me.

I have some more questions for you guys that own one.

Are you using TCCD memory when you try to OC?

What brand are the Polymer & SMT caps on that board?

(It's actually nice to see manufacturers starting to use them instead of regular electrolytic, even though we do seem to have the "bad cap" era behind us for now...)

Also what type of ram is near the N-bridge, I'm wondering since I've fired off an email to Jetway to ask if the video can address more than 32MB of dedicated memory and have not received a reply...if it can address more than 32 meg, then it may be beneficial to monkey with it to add more ram, as I may be able to do that here at work...

Thanks

Why isn't any company building SFF Pentium M's? I'd love to buy a pre-made Alienware box (or some other computer company) but it seems nobody's interested. And I'd hate to build one myself. :(

Alienware, huh? Sounds like you have the money (or the lack of fiscal control :) ) to be spendy!

Well you can buy miniITX Pentium M systems here: http://www.bwi.com/product/14024 ...but if you want one that supports a full-sized graphics card, your only choice would be the Commell LV-673. Best of all, they are even smaller than a Shuttle-sized SFF so you have more flexibility!

I am sure if you have more money than time, you could give them a quick ring and see if they would build one for you using the Commell LV-673. Since they have all the parts, I would bet they would do it. All they would have to do is stick an LV-673 in this case: http://www.bwi.com/product/14024 and give you a fatty pricetag to purchase. :)

Either that or buy that board and stick it in someone's old SFF case. That would be a piece of cake, although I would avoid a Shuttle, because of the fixed ICE cooling system.
