Dude, I wouldn't read into it too much. It is like someone calling you blondesnow17. Or a car manufacturer using the color "eggshell cream" instead of just calling it freaking white.

Here is the difference. I can tell you roughly what color an eggshell is. Can you tell me what color a "titan" is? See my point?

Ms. Nurse: Thanks for the link. I understand what they are referring to when they say "titan" I just was wondering why they are using that word. Titan is a group of people from Greek mythology. Titanium is a type of metal. Call me anal but it's clearly a mistake in translation. Sorry it's just that every time the word came up it didn't sound right to me. Guess I'm the only one who cares/noticed. It happens a lot...

Well I think it is a crap color, but I can understand why they called it Titan though. It looks the same color as a hunk of forged Titanium. :D Now why couldn't we have a "brass" color?

Well why bother translating Grün -> Green, Gelb -> Yellow but not Titan -> Titanium?
Because it is a product name? ;) Even Sharka uses 'titan'.

Until they remove that WININTENDO XP poster, I am not buying from them... I feel insulted as a Linux user

How does one stop moisture being formed on the inside of the aquatube when it's mounted sideways?

You use an Aquajet or you make sure your input is about the same height as your liquid height in the tube. Need to basically increase the motion of the water.

That's not from Sharka ;) That is the front office of IT-Trade in Austria. I'm sure if you got a cute penguin poster Franz would help ya out :p

But it's not a product name, it's a product color description.

So why don't you shoot Wes an e-mail and ask him to change the name to Titanium? He's pretty accomodating. :) For some strange reason I always thought Titan referred to a copper color  Hey how about barf grey? I think they made that color to match the grey color inside of steel cases....but who uses steel anymore?

Hmm... How did you "attach" the connector and where did you get it?

I was at Fry's yesterday and they sell the all the stuff to make this happen:

Connectors = $0.59 each
Ribbon cable = $1.59 for 3 feet

So that's about less than $4 total + gas and your time = your own custom length cable :D

*sigh* What a disaster yesterday at my local shop. They call up and say my parts are there. (DFI SLI-DR board and 2x eVGA pci-e Ultras)Yeah baby! The build can start! Get there and turns out one of the Techs had just sold one of the cards to fill a backorder that was never ordered in the first place for a person that had waited awhile.....he didn't know the pair were mine, just that they were in stock. Then, turns out it was the wrong DFI board. I took it in stride since being well heeled waiting for AC parts.:D I was all ready to send pics of the start of the worklog to you guys, but a bit longer is in order. An opinion regarding a radiator mounting option in a v2000 case while I'm here: I have an Evo 240 and a 120. the 120 will go in front in stock fan local, no brainer. I've stared at that case for a location of the 240 that satisfies me (not wanting to cut the top, or the middle plate for vertical rear mount) but I came up with the idea of mounting it horizontally above the lower PSU and hanging from the middle plate, with the fans facing the 'back' sidepanel and close, then mounting the grille to the panel. Worst case down the road is a new panel is gotten for a complete v2000 once again, and not a proprietary situation with a small market for resale. Whatcha all thank?

I have aquajet, I have the aquatube mounted horizontally with the waterlevel halfway, the top part of the aquatube gets covered in moisture though.

Moisture as in like steamed up window? I hear that A-C is coming out with a thingy that attaches to the Multi-Switch that shoots a concentrated jet of hydrogen and oxygen ions at the plexi at some programable time frame that eliminates the problem. The other thing they are working on is a minature windshield wiper that is also run by the Multi-Switch.

However, since it appears unlikely that the Multi-Switch will be available any time soon how about either OC your pump a bit, put the jet at the top position, or increase your water level a bit?

I finally got most of my parts, although I'm still waiting for a couple from Sharka. Anyway, I decided to test things out and my Aquastream doesnt seem to be working properly :( . When I turn the power supply on the green light on the Aquastream controller comes on for a second and then everything shuts down including the power supply fan and the 120mm fan I have hooked up. I tried removing the deaeration mode jumper and it still does the same thing.

I thought it might be the power supply I was using (old antec 330w) so I removed the Aquastream and tried just powering one fan and that worked fine. Its weird that the whole power supply seems to shut down (shorting somewhere maybe?) Any ideas what could be going on here?

Edit: Well, I decided to try my Seasonic power supply just in case and now the pump works and I'm leak testing away. :) Still can't figure out why that Antec power supply didn't work though, oh well.

Any eta on multi-switch? Sounds really cool. I don't really want to increase the water level or increase the jet as I like the current effect, I think I'll try the "wip shaving foam on and wipe off" trick.

I'm having problem getting RPM's to post on my aquaero !!! Anyone had this problem?
Is it plugged into the Aquaero correctly? Is it enabled in AquaSuite?

Boy, that is butt-ugly! Or the word "crude" also comes to mind. "out of it's shell" so perhaps it is more visually appealing in the "shell".. I guess you could hide all that stuff (in a closet) and enjoy the benfits of -55C...

On the Aquasuite or on the VFD? Also what fans are you using?

It's ugly because it's not in it's shell and fully insulated

TN, have you heard anything else regarding AC’s Tubemeter? It would be nice if Availability was sooner than later.

Well I suppose it will be sooner than the new Aquastream controller (about a year) took to be released and later than it took for the new Aquaero version 4 firmware (6 months). I really have no idea as they aren't to good about making production forecasts. So it could be next week or it could be next year. I have been hearing 2-3 weeks for about 6+ weeks now. :(

Reminds me of another German I know who builds astronomical equipment:

3-5 days = a week or two
1 week = 1 month
1 month = 6 months
couple of months = next year
6 months = never

I don't think I will be getting one. Once I put my rig back together I doubt I will be motivated to break it down to add the tubemeter. I was hoping they would release it sooner given the fact that "pre-production" models are working as expected. :(

On the VFD and the aquasuite it doesn't show. I'm using panaflo M1A fans with 3 pin connectors..

Aviddigi, what did you think of the Tubemeter? What functionality did it/does it have? I have been looking for specific information about the device and have been unsuccessful in finding any.

After recent events of people complaining to AC that i was given one, i wont talk about it man and i do apologize. They do work and will be released as soon as possible

hmmm lol i'm wondering when i will start my project, i have all the supplies i need to make this lquid cooling system but don't know howt o start the case mode :(, i have a dremel xpr 400 lol, any tips?

Check to make sure those Panaflo's actually work if plugged directly into the MB header. There are reports that some Panaflo's do not have RPM sensing even though they have three wires. Get a cheapie 3 wire fan and see if that shows up in your Aquaero.

Well, that is reasonable..Any "shell" pictures? Why did you post this thing in the "Teh Uber Aqua-Computer" thread?? Is there a connection with that monstrosity and all things Aqua-Comptuer?

Probably force of habit ;) But really I am sure it would get more interest if he posted in the Extreme Cooling section. :)

Forgot to mention that a jig saw with a metal cutting blade works better than the Dremel cut-off saw routine. Though the dremel works better at cutting the corners by using the side of the disc. Make sure you use the reinforced wheels, eye protection, respirator, long sleeves, and some kind of gloves! Helps to use a 6" Dial Calipers to accurately center the template.

Latest word as of 6-20-05 is "very soon" per Chris at AC. As I have said before I and Franz have no idea what that means. :(

Great point. I was wondering if the Extreme Cooling subforum was gone or something.....
