Anyone know of a way I can trunk all these together? :) Stupid on-board lan screwed up and managed to make windows think there were 55 onboard adapters. Computer was fine until I put in an Intel Pro 1000/MT adapter. I guess the Realtek adapters were just jealous of the Intel gigabit goodness and had to put it in it's place. Anyone seen this before?

Have not tried that yet but even when the computer boots it is showing tons of network controllers on the post screen so it does not appear to be a windows software related thing. I tried taking out the Intel gigabit adapter but the motherboard continues to do this. Looks like something really is screwed up with the motherboard and I will likely have to RMA.

Haha, I love the line of unconnected network plugs at the bottom...it must be hell to click the pop up ballon closed when they inform you that "the media is disconnected"

bridge them ALL! :)

LOL...

yea if it were me, I would disable the onboard nic in bios... I would just say that's it's an incompatibility somewhere. Also, you might want to make sure you have the latest bios for your mobo.

thats some serious lanpower you have there

Disable the onboard LAN. See how it goes.

Alternatively, you can bridge it all together! haha.

If you plug the onboard NIC in, do they all come up?

Did not actually try that so I don't know. I just disabled the onboard and will use a PCI card for network access.

are you doing 802.1q trunking on that nic?
if so, one interface will show up per vlan

I had the same problem with an old emachine I was working on for a buddy of mine. Ended up his onboard NIC was just screwy. Disabled it and replaced with a el-cheapo 10/100 NIC and been running fine ever since.

One thing was funny though, evervytime he turned it on and logged in, it would continuously found a new network adapter until it eventually froze up.
