Jazz the iPod, after the Transformer, although it just sounds like it's after the music genre

This guy hasn't posted for almost a year as far as I can tell, but I'm still gonna say that these are all Nonpoint albums.
 
Blue Beast = My Stacker w/ all blue H20 parts and blue water

Powder = Fiancee's powder blue neon Shuttle

Broken = Linksys WRT54G which likes to disconnect itself during large transfers from wired to wireless across the network.

I follow a "M____ Hal" convention for everything:

Media Hal is the media server
Mini Hal is the Mac mini
Music Hal is the iPod
Mobile Hal is the tablet laptop
Miniscule Hal A & B are the enclosed laptop drives
and Miscellaneous Hal will be the box of peripherals that I'm building

My wireless ssid is halnet, and my network group is halhub.
 
Currently called 'THE BEAST 4' after my tv (Beast 1) my Pioneer Amp (Beast 2) and my Yamaha twin cone Power Sub (Beast 3) :D

There was a joke a long time ago that my PC's name was "Alicia", but I won't get into that.

I've been using the same name on my PC for probably 8 or so years now:
"Dreadnaught"
It has several personal meanings, that's all I have to say about it.

  • broken - old workstation, recently replaced by behemoth
  • cursed - old P3 box for everyone else
  • porta-potty - toshiba tecra m2 laptop
  • vehemently - old FBSD workhorse server

Work #1:
  • orphan - laptop #2
  • dumpster - neglected desktop

Work #2:
  • hypnos - old linux beater box/workstation
  • ganymede - dual head l33t'd out workstation
  • metis - quad xeon dell RH AS
  • adrastea - dual proc opteron box w/FC3 Linux

Can't forget about my anti-spam tandem, hormel & armour. Two little boxes that reject some 5,000msgs a day and have been up for ~475 days each. :)
 
I name my computers after the person who uses them. The computer in my room is called "ANDREW", and the family computer is called "FAMILY". I named my server "SERVER" and my laptop "LAPTOP". My dad's laptop is "TOSHIBA" and my brother's laptop is "COMPAQ" (for hopefully obvious reasons).

C'mon, I'd like to see somebody beat my originality! I dare you!

Some of you guys get pretty creative. I usually just name it whatever it is so I can remember what is what on the lan. For instance, my 2.53 P4 is named PIV2533, my 1.5 P4 is named PIV1500, and my only AMD machine is named <insert drumroll here> AMD.
