I might cancel it, I have a BFG 6800 GT anyways, but she said 67 back-orders and that was maybe a little over 30 minutes ago.

that is after a $50 rebate from BFG, i ordered mine a few hours ago and got a confirmation via e-mail :)

let's hope they pull through on the delivery.

Mine can be clocked at 440/1.14 on stock cooling. It isn't stable in either games or 3DMark05 even just a few Mhz above that on the core. I haven't tried clocking the memory higher than 1.14 yet (will do tomorrow).

'03 score is 13130 and '05 is 5844. I wouldn't mind breaking the 6k mark on '05, and plan to include this vid card in my crappy WCing loop in due time to try for it. I'll bet there are a few more Mhz to be squeezed out of this core - especially since I've read that many people can clock as high as 450 on stock cooling.

Looks like you have a killer card, according to your sig.
 
heh, this was just the excuse I needed to bite the bullet. How will I know if its back ordered--I got a confirmation email stating all is a go.
 
Well I just got of the phone with them and it does not look good for anyone that has placed the order over the weekend. They claim that it is extremly backordered and that people keep trying to order them. According to the representative I was told that when dealing with the rebate all those that are on backorder with be (and I quote) "S.O.L." So now it really doesn't seem as such a great deal, especially after paying $40 in taxes and another $9 to ship it. hmmmm. :(
 
Yeah, ur right. I cancelled my order.

It was however a good deal for those very first few!!
 
Well there is hope. I just got off the phone with a customer service rep. She said they had 100ish orders that would be backordered BUT they had 90ish that would be shipped monday (190ish total processing atm). Basically this means that friday and some saturday orders still have a chance. She also said that as long as the cards are recieved in time to make the postmark date on the rebate form that will be fine. Considering the postmark is a month from now and the backorder for most if not all cards is expected 1-2 weeks I wouldn't go cancelling orders just yet.
 
Damn $350AR is a killer deal. I wish I was in the market.

Just called (so weird hearing an American accent), so far 140 cards have been back ordered, think I might wait a week or two to see what happens before ordering this

Do you have an actual tracking number yet? I got an order number this morning but it didn't mention a tracking number (yet). Also why are you returning yours? Because you lived in a 'taxable' state?
 
Well, I haven't received a confirmation yet but I was told this morning that it doesn't matter when you ordered yours if it was during the weekend. I was told this morning all the credit card numbers will be sent for activation at the same time. The first one's back will be the ones that get the card. So if you placed your order Friday evening after hours you might not get a card but you could place your order this morning and still have a chance. hmmm. Seems like there should be another way. Oh well, not that big a deal. Perhaps I still have a shot.


 
Friday 2-4-05 I bit the bullet, went to local Fry's to by a BFG card for $499.99...cut and dried....pony up drop the bucks. :(

Bought the card..found out @ checkout there was a $50 mir..cool not so bad after all.
Went to work..got off, had a couple of beers..checked out THIS forum and saw Outpost selling for $399..was @ $459 earlier but wanted instant gratification....

$399, mir $50...$349..now that's a DAMN good price ;)
A few days of juggling to save $100....Yep I'll go for it. (And as I already have the card I don't have to wait as now I HAVE to have the 6800 Ultra OC as it's just F'ing amazing! :eek:

i just talked to them via phone and it is a GT6800OC, not an ultra chip, but she didn't want to admit that they tried to fuck me over, assholes :mad:

my order is canceled now bitches.

I would call and verify what it is. It can't be built to the AGP 8x and PCI-e specs...but since it says PCI-e support, i'm inclined to think that they meant if you got some sort of converter it would work or something....I don't know if such a thing even exists.
 
it's nvidia spec, basically means the same chip runs on pci-e boards (even though it is still using agp-pci-e bridge chip). And no, u can not convert AGP videocard to a PCI-e slot :D
 
No converter, and this card is definitely an AGP card, as was stated by someone who took the time to find out for us earlier in the thread. It's basically a copy&paste syndrome where some guy just pasted all the features. The chipset is capable of supporting PCI-e, it's just that this implementation of it does not use it.

Yeah, I'm looking for a PCI-e card too. :(
 
HAHAHAHA.

I went to outpost.com to check on the avail. of the BFG 6800NU OC @ 249 and the Ultra did not come up. If you follow the link at the beginning of the post it will take you there, but even if you search for the item number on any other page, it won't come up. I tried adding it to my cart with to no avail. Looks like ya'll cleaned em out. Now if I could only find the BFG 6800NU OC @ 249 somewhere else.. Sigh..

Holy Cow! I gave up on my order after I went to bed last night and saw that my order was still "In Process". After reading how everyone has already received tracking numbers and confirmation emails I thought for sure my order was already in backorder. Well just minutes ago I checked the status one last time before leaving for work where I was going to call and cancel my order and noticed that it had been shipped. I never did receive an email stateing anything, confirmation, nor tracking numbers. So it appears that I was given a little luck in this situation. Now it is time to order a NV silencer and some heatsinks. :D

I can sell you a brand new, unopened NV 5 silencer if you are interested. I am not going to use the one I bought on my GT as I have an Ultra arriving today.

Well the rebate finally showed up for this...
A BFG 6800 Ultra OC for 349.99 is still a good price for today!
overclocks to 450/1200 on water..gotta love it!!
