Is there a place where I can DL all the SPs and critical updates for XP and put them on a CD as install packages? I know you can DL the SPs, but can't find the critical updates...

Whats even better is slipstreaming service packs and critical updates into your windows install disk image, and burning an updated windows install disk.

Cumulative update for XP SP2.

The microsoft download center is your source for hotfixes and updates.

I think they call it the Catalog, but I might be wrong. It's accessible by going right to the same WindowsUpdate page.

Yeah, you can find a link to the windows update catalog from the standard windows update site. Downloading all the updates in that manner and just installing one by one is still pretty crappy when compared to slipstreaming. Slipstreaming is sexy, but you have to make a new .iso etc each time you add updates.

The way microsoft puts updates out you would be making a new ISO ever couple days......

Yeah, there have been MS patches released nearly every other day this year....

Go to windows up dates. On the left side of the page click on admin options. Then on left side on the next page. Click on windows security updates. Then it will show you a list you can down load.

You could just order the SP2 free CD for the bulk of the upgrade and do a monthly download of the hot fixes and downloads and transfer to another CD for the dialup box.
