i know how that is. note the fan plugs. one 120mm fan blowing down right over my heatsink and a pci blower blowing near the intake of the video card. definitly kept things cool enough.insaneman37 said:Last year, during the winter, when the temp outside would be somewhere between -10F and 0F, I had something similar hooked up a couple times (I even had fans inside of it). Nothing like a processor at about 5F at full load.
(cf)Eclipse said:all right. i needed a new post because the old one had too many pictures in it. here goes
(i'm at 31c full load right now.. was 39-41c at idle before i put it on)
before everything went together, sometime late last night.
and the duct down to the heatsink to ensure colder air this time
and now the finished product
and that's 18.9c exhuast air. the psu heats it up a lot though... if i'm feeling creative later, i'll draw a diagram of how air flows through it if anyone wants to know.

i'm liking that lanboy, but you need to put a sticker in the front. it looks too plain
or you can do what i did: annoy the shit out of your roommate with crazy overclocking experiments and end up getting a single so you can steal the extra desk!!
ericlikeseatin said:dude, thats amazing. if you get an LCD ever, your setup would be unstable. you might need that CRT to keep that piece of wood weighted down
