With the nForce 4, the lower timing works better. It was different with the nForce 3 board, however.

Cool, good to know, I know with some of the newer nF4 boards, tighter timings and 1t have been MUCH more usable....it's just that you don't always see someone running at x-3-4-x.

Finally got my 6800GT SLI set-up together. Had trouble with one card not liking the latest drivers. Heat issues. Set it at Ultra speed to start. I guess any score pretty much puts me on the SLI '03 board. 21,266.

Bah! Looks like these cards paired don't want to do more than 400/1100. Something is not quite right with the sytem because my score is low compared to Arseface. Could the extra L2 cache on his CPU account for the difference? 9,457

I tried x-3-3-x, then x-4-4-x, then ended on x-3-4-x at 290 plus FSB. I think the weaker mem controller on the A64 versus the FX needs the step back. Also, the bandwidth numbers seemed less affected by these timings. It was all about stability.

Both cards have the same bios now. Can't get into Windows with the latest drivers and I still have heat issues but, looks like things are picking up on '05. 10,239 :)

10239!?

You git :p !!!

Right... OCtime!

What do you consider heat issues? My ultras seem to be about 70 degrees load after about an hour of gaming and cpu about 55 (FX55).

Thats with the room temp at about 22.5C degrees.

One of my cards idles at 68c! I think it may be a bad sensor since it doesn't seem to climb much. The weaker card of the two idles at 40c! That can't be right either with stock cooling. Still a lot of issue to resolve, but I may put them aside to game a little.

3DMark 03 - 17086
Nice scores. What cooling you using on CPU and GPU? 3339 is pretty impressive for a 64.

FYI, my "secret" GPU cascade project is coming along nicely. :D Hopefully I will have it by the end of the week.

Thanks, Vapo LS on the Cpu and am Exos2 and a DD Maze4 on the card. :D

Nice work James

Those scores really give me "A64 Envy". I have an A64, but not as my primary machine.

I thought I'd have a chance at 8k in 3dmark05, but I just don't see it happening for me (even at 5ghz) on a Pentium.

Redone '01 with the new PSU, and I uploaded it this time :p

Yeah, not too impressive, but this really is the most I can get from my CPU, unfortunately (3.05Ghz), even on a Vapo XEII. Oh well - after my exams are finished I might pick up a San-Diego CPU.

Anyway:

How is this not impressive? Your SLI blew that nature score through the roof. I remember seeing some review of SLI that showed the same improvement in Nature while the other test were about the same. I haven't been able to replicate those results. Care to share how you did it? Its the least you could do since you've just about pushed me off the '01 list. ;)

Not sure...

I know that Nature is the only test that's still largely affected by GPU performance. I had the quality settings on 'high-performance' and used the 71.84 drivers. Also, I'm using G.Skill LE at 300 2.5-4-3-7, which gives me almost 9,000mb/s memory bandwidth.

I said it wasn't too impressive, because it's still not that great a score for an FX55 on phase - especially with the SLI cards.

WC finally arrived today. Expect some scores from me later on today or tommorrow ;)

I think you missed this.

3DMark 05 - 8003

Hmm, yes I did. Nice work. I had not visited for a while, and the best single card was around 7500 or so. No longer, I see ;)

And, you are still hogging the fist spot, I see. List is not updated, but looking through the thread, I see none higher.

Is that an FX55 you're using?
No. It s a very strong CBBHD 0444 3000+. 66% overclock 24/7 but I'm pushing it a little more now for benches because the video cards are tapped out. Might do the bios volt edit to see if the cards will benefit.

I know it doesn't matter... BUT....

6415 3D marks.

Now, keep in mind this is on what has become my primary system:

AMD TBird 1333
256MB PC2100 DDR crap RAM.
LeadTek WinFast ti4400 128MB 4x AGP.

on....

An ECS K7S5A Pro mobo.

EDIT: I should say this is 3DMark01 SE, to avoid the confusion. :)

I am kinda happy with it... new scores once I get the A64 system built in a couple of months.

So is the list no longer being updated? What happened to Corny?
Looks like he fell off the planet on the 14th. Sort of pointless to keep posting these scores I guess. Dang. Just when my system was hitting its stride.
11,940 on '05.
