Hell, I don't even remember now.
$250-$300 maybe?
For that matter, I don't even remember what year I got it.

Wow- my Voodoo 2 SLI + Voodoo Banshee for 2d set in the basement would probably really roxor your boxors.

I have a Voodoo 3 AGP from a Dell. I had it running Mechwarrior 4 at medium settings. Rest of the computer kept crashing though (damn spyware).

i remember when i had my Creative Banshee 16mb and the damn heatsink on it got so hot it would burn skin...it was a half lifes dream card :D ( 800x600 of course)

When I bought this computer

on November 7th 2000 I had a Voodoo 4 4500 PCI card to put in it.

That is a HP 700Mhz Celeron personal computer.

i'll bet mine is older:

Yep, that's composite video out. I used to connect it to my TV through a VCR. I think the second RCA jack was for separating chroma and luma, but I never used that mode. That mode is similar to S-Video.

MAN! I had almost that exact same card up until about 3 months ago. Mine was the same 8-bit ISA bus but didn't have the composite out on it.

Used it in a linux router box I had for a while. served me well...rest it's soul
:p

You had me worried there for a second, I though you paid that much for the video card alone :).

I am still running my voodoo3 and and old ati card in sli mode in my ICS box. p233 power. Been running pretty much 24/7 for 6+ years?

Haha, I have two Voodoo 2's lying around somewhere, and a Voodoo3 32mb in a P2 300MHz rig (played CS just fine, too).

I have my Voodoo3 3000 AGP in my computer at work. P3 500, 256 MB RAM, 18.1 GB Quantum Fireball 7200 RPM HD (man, this was fast when it came out), ASUS P3B-F, SB Live!, running Windows ME. This thing was the cat's meow in 1999/2000!

My Voodoo 2 is in my cabinet, and has been there ever since it was replaced with the Voodoo3. I had an ATI All-In-Wonder with the Rage II chip in the first PC that was technically mine, that I got for Christmas of 1997. Before that, I put an S3 1 MB Vesa Local Bus card in the family's 486-100, and before that was a 16-bit ISA vid card, no VRAM, in a 386DX-16.

Dude! I have that Voodoo 3 AGP! It just died FRIDAY NIGHT night after 5 happy years in my P II 350. Luckily I had my old factory card as a backup.

It's past time to take that Platinum XP case I bought a year ago and put some parts in it

I have one of these.

Still with orginal box, manual, pass through cable, driver cd, demo cd.

And canopus case badge.

and of couarse in perfect condition and working order. :D

thats awesome dude...what kind of card is that? whats spex...if you still remember.. :D

I still have an S3 Virge VX, and a pair of Monster 3d 12mb Voodoo 2's... ah those were the days, those V2's really kicked ass in tribes, much better than my Riva TNT2... damn I feel old.

I still have at home a riva 128 and a riva 128ZX (yes i was stupid enought to buy one, right before my TNT).
The rest of all cards where beeing sold to buy new stuff.
I had a VESA one too, 512K with two 1MB Modules.
Yeah nice time :)

It's a canopus Pure3d lx. (voodoo) but how it differs from all voodoo's at the time is, while they all had 4mbs of ram in total.

It had 6mbs (4mbs for textures instead of the usual 2) so it did much better then any other voodoo one on the market.

I believe the clock speed was 50mhz on the core, and the memory Dunno.

You can find those a dime a dozen on ebay. I have my Voodoo2 cards at home that I used for a long time. I also have my Geforce FX 5800 Ultra in my sisters machine that my brother in law uses to play Madden 05, still runs liek a charm.

Find a Voodoo 5 6000 AGP and I will be impressed.

Anthony

I had 2 Creative 12meg in SLI and needed to free up a pci slot so I bought one of these off my roomate.

It was actually a nice card at the time I think he paid like 650.00 retail for it. Only problem with this card is it ran at like 1000 degrees. I couldn't keep enough fans on it.

You're gonna "screw me up" probably, but... why are you whining about these old shit cards? "Teh legend" blah blah blah, it sux these days. It's good for nothing, except word and solitaire. I would throw such trash outside my window, if I wouldn't be capable of selling it for few bux... oh damn I forgot.. no1 would buy it, I would need to pay them to get this thing.

My 2 cents..

PS: That's my humble oppinion, and I'm sure few of the ppl see it my way too ;)

Chalk one up to me on the Voodoo bandwagon. I am running a Voodoo 3 3000 PCI on the old old machine right now: AMD Athlon K6 996 MHz, 512mb ram.

Yeah, then card manufacturers discovered...heatsinks...and fans...

Here's my baby. Number9 Imagine 128 I think I still have about 3 of these bad boys left. They actually have a jumper on them to tell the computer which one to boot from first when running dual cards! I had to use these as I was running in WindowsNT so I didn't have the multiple monitor ability that Win98 even had (plus, the apps I was working in didn't run outside of NT). These sucked for gaming but they sure were workhorses!

I have to admit, I was pretty excited when I got my hands on Win2K for the first time. I could finally run NT apps on muliple monitors, with different video cards, at different resolutions and refresh rates. That changed everything for me. I no longer neede matching monitors and cards.

I have a voodoo1 inside a powermac with 90mhz 64mb of ram and a 500MB HD. What's the big deal?

i have a few Diamond Multimedia Fire GL cards that im about to put up pics for.. great cards!....and legends!

I still have some Apollo 4mb card in its original box. Back then they packed it in bubble wrap. Static city.

I'm not sure why I did it, but I donated my Quantum 3D Banshee PCI - which is much more history than Voodoo 3 as it's a rare card from 3Dfx's Quantum 3D spinoff (the guys that were responsible for the arcade/military simulation division and who made the Obsidian massive SLI in-one card) to the Dodge Garage.

I had 4 quantum ravens (banshee). They were awesome... black vid cards rule, haha.

I have a Voodoo 3 in one of my LAN dedicated servers on Server 2003, hehe.

Yeah, Quantum 3D was one of the first when everybody was still green and brown.

I kind of regret that I sold my Voodoo5. Should've hung it on the wall for display or something, alongside my Voodoo1 (with 6MB RAM!) and the V3 3k AGP.
But I guess it's time to move on. Wonder how many of them VSA 100's it would take to match the X800XT
