Post your "rate my cables" here

...... i posted the first one for the rate. that one is just with the power on.

Not all the posts in here are pictures of cables. there are a lot of pictures of the front of cases. you might want to take a chill pill. if you get a high by bashing someone on the internet...well i guess i completed your day then.

Don't take offense, I was just in the mood to be an asshole, with it being early in the morning, and your picture was the perfect target.

still some more stuff i wanna do to the wires just havent done it yet but here it is...

The IDEs are some nice black Abit ones, you almost can't see them. And then there's my one SATA drive at the top of my case. Sadly, there's no room in my case behind the mobo for anything. It's blocked by steel beams.
aluminum foil rules all! all hail the mighty foil! :D

i have a forton bluestorm now *yey* its nice, i havent put it in yet, bt im sure its gunna clean things up nicely, im also gunna find a new place for my fanmate to reside.... if points really mattered maybe i would get rid of it (lol cornelious) but well see how this goes, its so hard to make the SATA cables nice though :(

don't look like there is much else to do if you ask me lol. that is nice.

Well, that fan wire on the CPU HSF could be done better.....run it along the board and under the mobo to a hole in the mobo tray instead of stretching it out like that to get to that screwhole. ;)

hahaha you bought a mad dog PSu from compusa, horrible

Actually the sepcs are quite decent but yes i ahd to get it at compusa....it was a sunday lol
but im actually not too disappointed

Specs or not, I just don't think it could really be all that great. Sure your system isn't a realy power hungry beast, but still...... ;)

What do you mean in your sig when you say that your CPU is oc'ed at 3.4GHz....i highly doubt you've got your 3200+ running at 3.4GHz. :p

The h2O looks decent enough, but we kinda need some shots with the lights on to actually SEE the cable mess. ;)

not possible and its not stretched out its actually folded in half on top of the cpu fan and i DID wrap it in heatshrink to hid it a little bit but what your saing doesnt make sense to me...under the mobo instead of the screw hole? what screw hole it plugs into the mobo right there

Well this is the result of 18+ Hours of sleeving, resoldering, and rewiring:

I know it still looks messy, but the IDE cables make it look it that way, if everything was sata I am sure I would look alot less messy. I actually am contemplating whether to go back to flat ribbons just to make it look cleaner. I think I am going to give it a try later. Hope it looks somewhat decent after that amount of work and time I put into it! :)

what do you think? srry bout the foot there, lol.... it just wants some attention ;)

looks nice, is that by any chance an aspire psu?

sparky1_2007, you might wanna tuck those green wires inside the cages and hold them there with zip ties or something... I'm not sure what's going on with them or if there's too many peripherals off the same lines but it looks like they could easily be shoved in there for a cleaner look.

Agreed, and it's just what I was gonna bring up. Maybe start with that, do what you can....and get back to us so we can go one step further. Easier to do it that way rather then listing off a dozen different things to do all at once. :)

here's mine right now, still have lots of plans on how to clean it up. just give me some suggestions. i am thinking about turing the hd's around but i'm not sure how well it will work due to how close they are to the fans. i am also definatley going to hide the fan wires and as many of the PSU wires as possible. if i feel brave i will take the atx and 12v connectors on the mobo and solder them to the back. also, click on the image for a larger pic.

Just got a new Antec SLK3700-BQE and hid the cables during instalation. I LOVE THIS CASE!!!!! if anyone wants a larger than average, damn-near-silent case that's under 100 bucks.......this is ur best bet IMO. anyway....here's two pics of the inside.....

dont mind around the heat sink... thats going to be covered by xp-120 in less then 16 hours :D

you think the atx and the video cards power connectors are tight enough? :p the video cards plug is soo tight i dont have to worry about it sagging...the wire pulls it up about a cm and i only have a cm of play on the atx lol.. guess some extensions are in order

anyway.. any ideas for farther cleaning it up?

Just FYI, a lot of the Mad Dog PSU's are rebadged Thermaltakes, and many of their DVD burners are rebadged NEC's.

Hehe, do you have any idea how many Tt PSU's I've seen fail on people in the last year or so? :p

Transition, I realise that you're stuck using the SATA headers in teh middle of the board because the other two don't lock.....but how long is your SATA cable? I've always wondered if there'd be room to get a 33" SATA cable and route it completely under the mobo, and have it come out on the other side, near the I/O plate....and then it could just wrap around and plug into the header. If not then I'd at least try and get a black SATA cable so it maybe doesn't stand out AS much. ;)

Other then that you've managed to keep things fairly orderly, and the first thing that comes to mind is that you easily have room to route the cables from that USB bracket under the mobo instead of having all that slack cable arcing out into the case.

Corn,

I'm not sure exactly how long the SATA cable is, but its lengthy . My concern from what i've heard is that SATA cable is un-shielded and sensitive to making any tight turns. I wanted to make sure the SATA cable was placed properly with no potential for data corruption or some odd errors occurring because of placement. I would like to do as you suggest though, and go under the mobo to come out by the I/O plate.

I might clean up that USB bracket cable someday when i get ambitious. ;)

Thanks for your comments.

I would like to comment on what you might have heard. SATA cables can be bent pretty sharp without fear of data corruption .. What you can do to sort of hide the cable is pass it behind the HSF from the top ,to decrease the sharpness of the angle turn, and then take it , to the right, where ever you want behind the motherboard tray .. going downwards exposes a lot of it.

What you can also do is use Vantec Sleeving to darken the colour a little and make it less obvious ;)

Something else that I would like to bring up is the fact that since you are sleeving why not cut the cables shorter especially on the HSF or atleast wrap it around the HSF so that it's less obvious.

Those are my thoughts for now...

BTW Cornelious what are your thoughts on my EXQUISTELY DRAMATIC pic of my case in the new new NEW post pics of your rig! :)

Good luck

The blue/red contrast is nice, and I kinda like that video card brace... Can't really tell much 'bout the insides otherwise. 'Cept the fact that there's an XP-120 there and the pipes are facing upwards, it didn't fit with the heatpipes facing downwards? I thought despite the fact that Thermalright said they'd perform just fine sideways on their XP series they still recommended not orienting them upwards for optimal perf.

umm, no

planning to paint my case blue and orange wasnt my first coloration

i dress in orange, blue, and black... a lotta my things are in bright orange.. ppl remember me cus i wear orange... orange bag, orange shoes, orange shirts, even orange tooth brush
lotsa other stuff too, i cant remember

o well, i was playing, sheesh
sorry to bring this back up, but orange is MY COLOR. I'm an old school orange liking guy. How long have you guys been into orange? Try 9 years fool, and counting! My computer monitor is orange, ha! :D anyways, just playing around, no harm intended!

Heh, kinda messy, but it doesn't look bad. I'd plug in the video card on a separate line from the HDDs though.

Here's my semi-clusterfuck. Got a PCP&C 510SLI on order and I've almost got myself talked into splurging for a Lian Li PC75b, both of which would clean things up nicely.

It's actually an antistatic bag, but if you are really wanting to see some food packing material...

I just added a ghetto modded ZIPLOC® bag to the aircooling system
