not soon enought hehe :D

Haha, good call........until it's actually here (hipro) you're gonna have people harpin' on you to hurry your a$$ up and get it out the door. Sucks that a lot of people are so impatient, but I (along with many others here) respect the work you're doing, and I know that if you're taking some extra time to release it (or not) that it's time well spent.

for a p4 the SB75G2 is teh best u can get..i say this because i own one and its a beast, great ocing features, and much more. As for my ram..yea i love the stuff but i hope u get a gclg2000 phase change rig :) hes making some awsome units!!!

I agree that the 75G2 is nice, but it won't do for me.

First off, the PCI slot is out of the question for a tvtuner or whatnot, as I need my Audigy2.....so I need an AIW card. Aside from that, I plan on getting a sexc 19" LCD in the near future...which means I'm gonna want to have DVI on this said AIW card.....and so far, the X600 with the modified tuner size is the only one to offer this......it actually gives you true dual display along with the tuner, because it's so fricken small.

If I was putting the shuttle togethor for an average/everyday setup I probly would just go with another 65 or 75 setup......but I want the 83 for the PCI-E option for the new and enhanced AIW, and the fact that it gives you room for two hard drives...allowing some nice Raid options, whereas the older s478 XPC's weren't QUITE as flexible. I spose you could just mount a hard drive in the floppy bay in an older shuttle, but I'm going to be using a 7in1 card reader/floppy drive also.....so that I have connectivity for just about anythign on this rig, and the 83G2 still gives me room for 2 hard drives after the additional 3.5" device is installed.

I'm actually quite excited....if I do get the Vapo then I'll really get to finally have some fun with this rig.....but I still still end up making the switch to this XPC setup......but just a little later down the road. On the flip side, even if I dont get the Vapo....I'll still get to have fun building this new rig and finally having a nice, full capable system......that'll be much more full featured then most peoples desktops. ;)

EDIT: Looks like I was wrong about the drives.....a TOTAL of two 3.5" are offered, the same as in previous models....but I'll still be going with the 7in1 reader...so I guess I'm gonna have to go with a single 300GB SATA drive until they come up with something bigger. :)

Bout time for a few runs on super PI i think ;)

When I first built my rig, the intention was never overclocking at first. It was simply to have a pretty fast, stock rig, hense why I cheaped on the memory. I got the 3400+ s754, and after watching Corn I ended up getting this overclocking 'bug'. I blame him mostly, followed by the rest of these insane FX-55 OCers...

I wasn't into benchies either before I saw this thread and after I read it I decided to see how my machines stack up against other people's. 2.6 on a 754 3400 is pretty decent I'd say.

Man the times on this thread just keep getting lower and lower...

M775 (2.0GHz) Pentium M at default speed

Ralf, are you going to oc that dothan? Those chips are kicking major ass with the DFI board!

Speaking of DFI, i just about pulled the trigger on one of those 875p-T boards by them. But i was able to order a Abit AS8 for $95 through work. The AS8 is also compatable with the DDR Booster which makes life a little easier.

which chip u gonna use with the AS8? Are you gonna be using phase cooling on it?

Ordered a chip today. The mobo is getting here either today or tommorow. Hopefully the cascade will be done tonight or by this weekend, and start benching on Monday.

Good stuff, and very nice time bro.....you continue to amaze me.

EDIT: congrats on being the first person on [H] to hit 5GHz AND submit it to one of my Top10's.....typing in that 5 for the first time was pretty cool. ;)

Ahhh....Now I got it.......

you just wait untill i get my hands on that kingston value memory (winbond UTT chips , vmem pumped straight from my +5v :D ), and a decent mobo (currently working on a shuttle SN95G5... little tight for my mach2) ;)

say bye bye to your record :D

darn....i'm out of the top 10 again.....

Fortunately, my 3500 gets here today...

Im out of the race for a while..My new ASUS p4c800e-deluxe will not oc worth a damn....tried every thing but still no good..and my boy gclg2000 is down for a while to,got in touch with me and said that his mobo wont detect his 3.6,his raptor is dead..and he has to rma some stuff..as for me..pfft..im gona wait for my LGA b4 i do any ocing...

Bitchbreaker,

You don't think the p4c800 is good? I've seen some good results with these boards... You gonna get a DFI 875P-T with your LGA?

I finaly calmed down about the board..it took me 4 hours of looking to find this beta bios im on now..it fixed all the ocing problems except for the fact i cant get over 1.6v with out a OC failed error* As for my lga i want to get the DFI but i might get the abit that Hipro5 and my boy have and a 3.2 lga chip for starters..in the end i want the dfi and a 3.6j..im at 4ghz right now but on air so i wont be able to really oc and bench untill my new pump gets here.

Heheh, put me on the Intel list too.

All stock cooling. Seems kinda slow though. I was doing other things while it was running, so i'm sure that affected it some. It's unpatched run. I guess i'll get a patched run up sometime.

Still kinda uncertain that everything is running smoothly.
:p :p

thanks gclg2000, but when you get teh patched run finished please repost both of them at the same time to make things easier on me.

Sorry it cut off part of the last result, but I know we can see the time just fine.

It's a 3200+

sorry for the level of inactivity lately guys, but I'm back around now, was quite busy with work lately.

I'm gonna hit Kyle up to see if we can get ourselves some more attention for any of the three Top10's.....this one in particular has been rather stagnant.

can't even compete....................... :(

That doesn't stop a lot of ppl....I dunno HOW many submissions I've seen on the ARC and ORB from ppl that are nowhere near the Top10's.....but it's cool, it's still nice to stand up and be counted.

You can expect to see me posting up some scores when I get my shuttle up and running. Sure it's only gonna be a 2.8E LGA775 with an modded (fanless) X600 AIW completely silent rig, but I'm still gonna do what OCing I can while keeping it Prime stable for 12+ hours and I'm still gonna be posting up some scores to see how my 100% silent XPC rates. ;)
