as we all know the 6800GT has one power connector and the Ultra has 2 for that extra oomph. BUT could you solder another power connector onto the PCB of the GT?

I know it sounds a little crazy but would it work?
 
I'm sure this has been discussed before and the consensus was that it'd be more trouble than it's worth. I don't have the previous thread to hand, I'm afraid.
 
... It's been discussed that the GT doesn't have the number of capacitators to support a second voltage input.
 
Want more outta that puppy ? Put a better HS solution on it. Or at the very least Put better paste on the GPU and ram
