Hi - I have a 6800GT and installed the MSI forceware for it a few weeks ago. When you do this - it installs 2 tabs under "display properties" labeled MSI Clock and MSI Information. The thing is - I don't want or need these tabs...in fact, I don't even have an MSI video card. Anyone know how to get rid of these? Uninstalling doesn't work, and even DriverCleaner does nothing. They're gone until I install any drivers for the card (regardless of the drivers, too). As soon as I install ANY version of Nvidia drivers, those tabs come right back. Anyone know the registry entries or a method to get rid of them?

Bump i got my msi 6600GT agp on monday, would like to know how to remove these tabs also.

I think i would keep them, especially the dynamic overclocking tab if it worked. Everythings greyed out and i cant use it.

Just install the forceware from nvidia, they work fine with the msi cards.

Edit: oops sorry, posted without finish reading the rest of your post. I didn't encounter this with my old msi card, as soon as I uninstalled the msi drivers and installed the normal drivers, those tabs would go away. Drivers cleaner usually did the trick, maybe you can go through the registry looking for instances of MSI.

I forget what the files are called, but there are some MSI specific files in the driver directory. If you installed them from a CD, copy them over your hard drive and delete those files from the folder. Then when you install them by running the .exe or force installing them through the device manager, those tabs will not be present.

Seems you need to delete MsiCpl.dll - this is the file.
Searching the registry never worked mainly because any kind of "msi" search will bring you face to face with about a million instances of the windows installer library.
Luckily i re-downloaded the drivers and killed this file and any mention of it in the registry.
