Low performance with Dell 6800 GTO

I'm getting pretty low marks from 3dmark03 and 05. I'm getting a score of 9943 under 2003 and 3865 under 2005. I have seen much higher scores in the forums with the same exact computer has mine. Right now I'm using forceware 66.93 drivers. I have also tried drivers 66.77 and 66.81 and I get about the same scores. I made sure AA and AF are both off and I'm running the programs at 1024x768. Are there any options I can do other than reformatting and reinstalling windows? What are the best drivers to use with the Dell GTO card?
 
Disable vsync if you have it enabled, but both scores sound pretty close to right for a stock speed 12 pipeline card. Higher scores that people post here are from 1) overclocking and 2) unlocking the last quad.
 
Those scores sound about right for a 6800 GTO so i dont know what to tell you other than try out some other drivers for it and see what happens.

GTOs are 8 pipeline cards, not the greatest card out there.

No, GTOs are 12 pipeline cards. LOL @ "correction".
 
GTOs are overclocked 6800s, I think.

6800 = 12 pipelines, 5 vertex
6800 GT & Ultra = 16 pipelines, 6 vertex
 
It's basically Dells version of the 6800 OC, they figured hey lets slap gto at the end and people will fall into our trap and thing its better than a 6800 gt, stole the good name of the pontiac gto lol
 
Its all a huge communist conspiracy to make me look bad ;) .

How do I unlock the 4 pipes and vertex shader in rivatuner? I have Rivatuner installed.
 
I had 4200 points in 3d mark 05 with my 6800GT. So that sounds like very good score.
 
I scored 3990 on 05 and 10500 on 03 with my GTO @ stock settings with the 6702 set of drivers. I would definately say you are right on the mark with those scores. After unlocking w/ rivatuner and clocking up to GT speeds I got right about 4150 and 11250 respectively w/ no artifacting or weird glitches that I can tell. The biggest bonus of unlocking the pipes was my temperature came down a little bit on the card. There are plenty of guides around here about unlocking w/ rivatuner. Just do a search.

i have a 6800 GTO, but mine has 16 pipes opened with, a clock frequency past a 6800 ultra, and i get scores around 5400 on 3dmark2005 :)
 
Don't feel bad, I get 209 marks in 3dmark03 and I can't even run 05../cry
