I just noticed this tonight (yes I used cheats to get back here to take this screenshot after I beat the chapter, so sue me, I am impatient)

I walked up to the wall (metal) and was attracted to the shiny reflection (read: I wen't "ooooooo shiny!" and was drawn to it like a fly) but when I backed away, it broke up and looked like it was rendered with extremely low precision.

On the last shot look at the right edge right were the shadows meet the reflection.

This is was a non-OC run on an X800 XT PE...

Anyone else seeing this?

have u compared with a nvidia card? wut if they do that too..? hehe

It is interesing to me because similar problems were seen in farcry with a metallic floor surface (similar in some ways) on nVidia, so maybe it is hard to make optimizations less intrusive on metallic surfaces? IDK, I would love for some nVidia people to test this, and some other ATI people too. I can't imagine it's just me.

This was in "follow freeman" right after you get done taking down the two spider thingies when you are in the decimated ruins of a building.

And this was at 1280x1024 with 6xAA and 16xAF.

Well my qualm with this was that as I approached it, it looked really good. Only when I backed away did it look low res.
