Well, course not with D3....but with classic doom it would be nice. I could run around with a BFG.

I forgot the code for godmode.... :(
 
like said I havent played the original doom
so i am wondering what was the average time needed to beat the game?
 
Original god mode...well, for patch 1.2 and up was IDDQD. I forget what the ORIGINAL original was...they changed it at one point.

I'd put time at beating Doom1 at...hm...20 hours? Maybe longer depending on the difficulty level.

ah heh, the good times, i actually started up an old PII 266 and played some old school doom, the graphics of that time almost hurt after playing doom3.
 
the e1m4 track they made is pretty sweet, the guitars got that grungy industral distorionness that i love so much.
 
I thought id Software didn't like map ports from their old games to their new games? Removes incentive to buy their old games.

huh, i dont think the maps are being ported from the original, just look at the pictures, they are modeling it from the ground up

first off, doom 1 is like 5 bucks at walmart? i dunno about you, but i dont have a big urge to go buy myself a new copy of a 10 yr old game. i think id would support it alot because if there is a great doom1 mod for doom3, more people are likely to buy doom3, lots of people bought half life not for HL but for its mods.
 
Can't recall clearly, I think it's what stunted someone's Doom to quake conversion, or quake dm to quake3 map remakes. I hope id doesn't care, these maps will be fun.
